Had a lovely walk here and onto Gordale Scar on 1st February 2013. The huge amounts of rain and snow meant a great fall of water. The walk to it has an ambience of a 'fairy glen' - to me, anyway :-) From Malham, you can make it a short walk there and back or you can go further on, to Malham Cove.

In a woodland setting this is a majestic waterfall even when it was not at full spate. the walk is as long or as short as you wish to make it.

Janet's Foss is easy to find whilst en route to Malham cove. Parked in the village and followed the path around to this peaceful area. Nice place to relax and maybe take a couple of pictures.

Janet's Foss is so well signed it's impossible to miss it. It can be visited with Goredale Scar, or on it's own, or as part of a longer walk in the area.

Naturally it's at its best when there's lots of water (which there wasn't when we passed by). Also gets quiet busy so photographers need time to strike when the opportunity (i.e. lack of people) occurs. Nevertheless - always worth a visit. Wild garlic just peeping through at this time of year.
