“Fantastic”

The location of the cottage in Sandend is picturesque, wonderful views of the sea and beach from all the front windows and the elevated terrace garden. The cottage is really cosy and charming. I slept so well in the comfy bedroom with the sound of the sea making it very special. Very well equipped with lots of extras such as toys for children, both for in the cottage and lots of things to use down on the beach. A great
beach for dog walking and watching the surfers. We had a wonderful week and will look forward to a longer holiday at the cottage in the future .

“Fabulous”
Reviewed 23 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Perfect weeks stay in this fantastic cottage set right above the beach at Sandend. This cottage comes fully loaded for a relaxing stay in a quiet location, Even the weather for the time of year was good. Our two labradors had a wonderful time and I'm sure they are missing their daily walks along the cliffs or on the beach. Close enough for some great walks to hidden gems like Findlater Castle and Sunnyside Beach and central for days out to more inland locations such as the Cairngorms and Speyside. Definitely will be coming back.

“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 14 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

A delightful cottage overlooking Sandend Bay. The cottage itself is clean, tidy with plenty storage space throughout and a secure shed in the garden. The bedrooms are spacious as is the living room and kitchen area. The utility room has washing machine, drier and sink as well as a small drying area, which is perfect for wet suits, etc. The garden is an excellent viewing point to watch life in the Bay, which is literally outside the front door. All in all, an excellent cottage for anyone who wants to relax by the sea.

“Brilliant”
Reviewed 7 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Fabulously appointed cottage in a tranquil location with everything we could need for a weekend away. The cottage has everything we needed, right down to the little touches of provision of some groceries and chilled cava, and 'simple' things like enough dishwasher tablets and toilet roll!
Perfect views across Sandend bay, with binoculars to help us watch the surfers, and for wildlife. The cottage is cosy, and in great condition with quality furnishings throughout (one of, if not the best bed we've ever had in a holiday rental!). Kitchen is modern and well equipped, and bathroom looks pretty new (great shower).
Location was ideal for us getting some long runs done with the dog on the coastal trails, with the opportunity to explore the many great beaches in the area.
Just a short trip, so not much time to try many of the local shops and restaurants, but we did go to steak night at Durn House, and sampled the local Cullen ice cream.
Overall a brilliant cottage, I would not hesitate to go again. The owner Wendy popped in to check everything was ok, and to advise there was no hurry to check out on leaving day (due to timings for cleaner etc), which was a lovely touch. It was also a bonus getting in mid-afternoon on the Friday, as many cottages don't allow access until much later.
