“Fabulous cottage and location”
Reviewed 25 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Beautiful cottage that ticked all boxes for our family. Very relaxing and comfortable - we really enjoyed the beautiful art work and the lovely log fire. We are regulars at Sandend Campsite and it was a lovely change to be in the village and so close to the sea. Can now look forward to visiting Sandend all year round. Would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to get away from it all.

“Sandtastic”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

What more can you ask for returning from the beach with your family after an early morning surf to a lovely cottage snuggled into the harbour at Sandend. No. 25 has everything you need with a large open plan living area, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Thoroughly recommended as a great get away from it all cottage. The moray firth dolphins even made an appearance in the bay over the weekend.

We will be back.

“Peace and quiet”

very well equipped and delightful cottage with all mod cons in a quaint little conservation village. lovely harbour steps away from cottage and beautiful, immaculate beach just around the corner - 1 minute walk. the perfect place to rest and relax. nice walks over the cliffs both ways - east to Portsoy (coffee shop, grocer) and west to Findlater castle ruins and Sunnyside beach

“Beautiful cottage in wonderful Sandend!!”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This lovely cottage Is in such a wonderful location - we had such a great time there. We will definitely be making another booking later in the year. Sleepy coastal village setting with outstanding views. The cottage itself was well equipped and so comfortable. We loved the beautiful artwork and the way the cottage has been furnished has so obviously been a labour of love by the owners. Our 5 year old grandson was totally thrilled by the fact that the beach was just round one corner and the "shell beach" just round the other one!! Well recommended.

“Lovely cottage in lovely place”

This is one of the nicest self-catering cottages I have ever stayed in. Beautifully renovated and furnished/decorated, well-equipped and comfortable, and in a superb location right beside a quiet little harbour and a few minutes' walk from a fantastic beach. There are lots of nice places to explore within easy reach, but it was also lovely just to relax on the beach or have your dinner outside on a picnic bench overlooking the harbour. There are super coastal walks in either direction from the village, and we watched dolphins, gannets and lots more during our stay, as well as lots of surfers!

Great place for children with lots of paddling, and rockpools, piers etc to explore (though the proximity of the harbour means you have to keep a close eye on little ones). The little road in front of the cottage (between the cottage and the harbour) is a dead-end, meaning that there is little traffic other than people staying in the small cluster of cottages at the harbour and the occasional tourist.

A car is more or less essential as the village is very small - nearest shops, restaurants, pubs etc are about 4-5 miles away although there is a little shop selling a few basics at Sandside Campsite. My only small niggle was the lack of a dryer which I was expecting from the description (no tumble dryer and couldn't find an airer in house). However, there is a washing line nearby and the sea breezes dried clothes quickly! We also had to chase up the owner re arrangements for getting access to the cottage but there were apparently problems with email that week.
