A lovely quirky, well equipped cottage in a tranquil location. We would stay again. Local people are friendly and welcoming. Highlight was seeing dolphins swimming just beyond the harbour wall.

“Lovely cottage”
Reviewed 2 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We visited for the Portsoy traditional boat festival, just 3 miles down the road, and this was the perfect base. Everyone (husband, father, brother) liked the cottage, Dad is the most difficult to please and he though it was wonderful; a very thoughtful and successful modernisation. The single beds are under sloping ceilings, but everyone coped. Couldn't find a cafetiere (or any other way of making coffee); a more serious lack is wifi in a village where mobile reception is almost non-existent. I know it's nice to get away from telecoms, but we had a lot of difficulty coordinating travel and pick-ups, without any way to communicate. So worth considering. In every other way it is a delightful place, and wonderful location.

“Fantastic stay”
Reviewed 11 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Thanks Duncan, stayed for 3 nights and had a brilliant time. Beautiful cottage, with beach a couple of minutes from our door. Really enjoyed following the coastal path to the castle and then back through the car park to Sandend. Cottage clean and with everything you might need. Will definitely book again.

“Fabulous cottage and location”
Reviewed 25 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Beautiful cottage that ticked all boxes for our family. Very relaxing and comfortable - we really enjoyed the beautiful art work and the lovely log fire. We are regulars at Sandend Campsite and it was a lovely change to be in the village and so close to the sea. Can now look forward to visiting Sandend all year round. Would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to get away from it all.

“Sandtastic”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

What more can you ask for returning from the beach with your family after an early morning surf to a lovely cottage snuggled into the harbour at Sandend. No. 25 has everything you need with a large open plan living area, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Thoroughly recommended as a great get away from it all cottage. The moray firth dolphins even made an appearance in the bay over the weekend.

We will be back.

“Peace and quiet”
Reviewed 16 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

very well equipped and delightful cottage with all mod cons in a quaint little conservation village. lovely harbour steps away from cottage and beautiful, immaculate beach just around the corner - 1 minute walk. the perfect place to rest and relax. nice walks over the cliffs both ways - east to Portsoy (coffee shop, grocer) and west to Findlater castle ruins and Sunnyside beach
