“Very disappointed guest”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

Attended Wedding reception here & looking forward to enjoying our stay, but was disappointed.
On entering our room first we noticed the stains on the carpet, it had not even been hovered, the bed was very badly made, looked as if it was a last minute job, bottom sheet had hairs on it, pillows did not look very good.
We had to ask for second bath towel, there was only a small amount of toilet paper & it was a cheap type.
Wire coat hangers in the wardrobe, no biscuits on the tea/coffee tray.
The curtain holder was hanging off the wall. The walls very thin you could hear guest in the next room.
No information booklet so we had no idea what time breakfast was.
Paying nearly £100 for the room you would expect something special.

I love the three rivers, it's a bit dated, but the relaxing atmosphere & wonderful staff more than make up for it. Food is Devine, whether its the Sunday Carvery or a mid week meal in restaurant. Pint of prawns & Poachers delight is out of this world.

Just got back from a hen weekend where we stayed in the biggest cottage attached to the hotel. The house slept 14 comfortably and could fit more. Each room had its own bathroom. The house had a large table that everyone could sit round, a nice lounge with a fire and a good kitchen. There is space to park and an outside area for bbqs. The furnishings aren't particularly new and the house is 'Lived In' but it was good for a weekend break with eating, drinking and lots of tiring activities that take place nearby.

Tried to get booked into hotel but fully booked on the Saturday night so got the offer to stop in Duffryn cottage for the same price as the hotel

Lovely staff at the hotel.....very pleasant and welcoming....

Beautiful cottage with plenty of space, stayed with our dog which was very convenient, but one thing I must say is the cleanliness of the cottage was a let down, the floors where dirty, the bedroom carpet was stained and needed a vac and the tv in bedroom couldn't get working but overall we had a lovely stay there .....

Room service not applicable and didn't use the spa to comment.

Room was standard out the back two single beds clipped together. Stains on carpets looked like red wine. No ironing board or iron had to borrow which you don't expect from 3 star luxury. No hot water one day for shower. Extractor fan came on early 6.30am woke us up from the kitchen. Noise is not drowned out from next door could hear everything through the walls. Executive rooms looked lovely and had balconies over the sea. Health suite wasn't clean there was sand in a cold jacuzzi but swimming pool was nice and deep. Gym was very average needed upgrading. Meals were terrible greasy watery breakfasts and evening meals were pub meals burnt jacket potatoes and cajun chicken was a curry. The coffee was served through a vending machine. Nothing to do there couldn't get anything in a shop as there wasn't one for 3 miles. Have to drive to Camarthen 20mins away for shopping as Kidwelly offered very little. 1 pub in the whole village and a yacht club with very little entertainment to offer. Main railway line runs through and easy to get to Camarthen on the train. The caravan site has ruined the hotel especially the health suite as they are allowed to use it was children playing in a very small pool at all times and the jacuzzi. Overall ripped off and a very poor stay but staff were very friendly and helpful.

Been here many times.....utterly disappointed. Given chance after chance, but no more. One time stayed - had superior suite, jacuzzi in bath didn't work and evening meal was tasteless. Gym facilities need updating...especially for the price they charge. Sauna & pool fine. Been several times and the jacuzzi hasn't worked!! Afterwards you can have a freezing cold shower as 50% of the time they are. No money off or compensation was offered by staff once notified or complained, just an " ahh ok"
Boyfriend once sat watching football in bar area whilst eating bags of OUT OF DATE crisps.

Room Tip: Not superior suite I don't understand what your paying all that money for, it's nothing extr...
