Description: The history surrounding Kitty's has made it unique, being set in a Victorian house, built by a retired sea captain circa 1840. The Captain commisioned local carpenters to put in place the wonderful panelled ceiling, removed from a ship which was broken up in nearby Palnackie Harbour. The origional panneled ceiling and walls, still survive to this day and I'm sure you'll agree the workmanship was second to none. Kitty is privilaged to own and run this small family buisness in such beautiful surroundings. And looks forward to welcoming you. OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK FROM EASTER WEEKEND TO BEGINING OF NOVEMBER.

We had high tea today at kitty's and it was wonderful. The roast beef was melt in the mouth and the whole meal was delicious. This was then followed by beautiful selection of cakes including fresh cream sponge, lovely chewy in the middle meringues, scones with cream and jam and fruit tartlets.. All of this was accompanied by pots of tea.. What can I say.. A hidden treasure..

After a grueling 60 mile bicycle ride into a howling gale, to find the hotel on the main road to Ayr wasn't serving food could have been disastrous. On the contrary it meant we found Kitty's tea rooms. We were out of time for lunch, however we were offered lamb, but chose the toasties instead. The whole experience was wonderful. The tea room itself is bright, cheerful, homely and comfortable. What a joy to be served tea in a silver plate teapot with china cups and saucers. The old fashioned way, but perfect. By the way I'm nowhere near pension age! To cap it all the lady who looked after us; Kitty? Made a generous donation to the charity I am supporting on my Lands End to John O'Groats bicycle ride. If you're journeying anywhere near plan to go here, you won't be disappointed.

ten of us went to this tea room for lunch, a friend was getting married so this was the start of her hen do, we only live 10 miles away from the tea room, its the first time i have visited, we were greeted by the most friendly staff, its a family owned buisness, daughter and auntie wait the tables mum cooks and dad washes the dishes. we all had a main meal, followed by the most fantastic cakes, washed down with proper tea, and coffee to die for. the decor is very quaint, reminded me of my nans house. even when presented with the bill we smiled, very good value for money. if you are in the area its a must visit place x
