My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the Catsrand on Friday 27th September as she had booked tickets to see Roddy Hart and the Lonsome Fire and boy were we suprised with the way the Catsrand was laid out. Our hats go off to all concerned on the evening, the residents of New Galloway should be really proud of themselves. You could say that the Catsrand is a hub for New Galloway providing the community with a Cinema, Craft Centre, Theatre, Shop, Cafe and entertainments venue, Well Done New Galloway.

Roddy Hart and the Lonsome Fire were fantastic on the night, will look to go and see them again.

Our usual place was closed so we went in here, wee Information Visitor place. Home cooking but like most of these places it looks more like a canteen look, but ok for a snack

The community of New Galloway, previously cut off from most activities, has made this the centre for culture and life, saving the town from being a backwater. Loads of things going on all the time and it has a cinema, craft centre and cafe.

Drop in whenever passing, there is allways something new. This is a one stop cultural staging post for the Glenkens.
