5 miles from Dalry brings you to one of the most peaceful holidays you could wish for, put the log fire on and enjoy a glass of wine. If you wish to eat out pop back into Dalry to Lochinver hotel, We found most roads remarkably quiet and nice drives to places like Ayr, Stranraer, Kircudbright and Castle Douglass while here try the pancake shop great pancakes with all sorts of fillings, then back to the house, get the bikes out and have ride along the road no traffic to worry about, but best of all just sit back and enjoy the view, first time here but already planning next years visit don,t normally go back to the same place twice .
Many Thanks Jacqui

“Another Amazing Stay in Beautiful Lochinvar Lodge”
Reviewed 2 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

This was our 5th stay at Lochinvar Lodge and I don't think we will ever tire of this beautiful house with amazing views. We came this time to celebrate my 50th birthday and brought with us my 80 year old mother and other family members. We wondered whether we would manage up to the house due to heavy snowfall and icy roads however, we got there safe and sound after taking our time. The lady who looks after the house, Lee, had kept in touch with us to let us know what the weather was like and she even contacted one of the local farmers to check access on the road. On arrival at the house, we found it to be lovely and warm and as usual, in an absolutely spotless condition. There was the usual welcome pack for us and a good supply of other amenities including plenty cleaning materials, coffe, tea etc . Ideal when the road was a bit risky for travelling back down to the local town of Dalry. A welcome addition this time was the wi-fi as our laptop etc is never far from our hands. The bedrooms and bathrooms are filled with high quality furnishings and the main living room has had some new wooden furniture added to make it even more homely. The snug has a wonderful wood burning fire and a small television if you feel the need to keep up to date with whatever is happening in the outside world.
The main living area looks over the loch itself which happened to be frozen solid on the day we left. We thoroughly enjoyed the views from the house and also the walks in the snow.

The owner Jacqui always does her best to make everything perfect. As I said, this was our 5th visit and I know we will definitely return. Lochinvar Lodge is a small piece of heaven hidden away in the lovely hills around St John's Town of Dalry. If you like peace, tranquillity in an amazing setting, you will love Lochinvar Lodge. I can't recommend it highly enough.
