We stayed here after racing at Beverley, and it was such an enjoyable experence , we wished we hadbooked formore than one night. the Inn isamix of historic nd new , so interesting.
Our room was in the new lodge situated at the back of the inn, it was spacious very clean beautifully equipped and warm. Excellent bathroom, comfortable bed and was peaceful.
Dinner was from the carvery which also served other dishes. We had the most tender beef cooked to our liking(pink) and one of the best Yorkshire puddings ever. All fresh vegetables and only £8.00 a head. The raspberry dessert, an enormous helping was so delicious , it was tempting to ask for seconds.
Breakfast was cooked to order and was very good. The coffee was also excellent. The staff were efficient and really friendly.
What I liked was the note in the bedroom offering blankets instead of duvets and jugs of fresh milk instead of the cartons,if preferred. What service!!More
