As a treat, we decided to stay overnight close to the airport thereby giving us a chance to unwind and have a nice meal. We needed a triple room as we had our teenage daughter with us. It was terrible. We had the attic room and the eaves were so low that my husband & I had to carefully get out of bed so as not to whack our heads. The bed creaked and we could feel every spring. It was hot and the only window was a small velux over my daughter's bed. The bathroom in my view was dangerous and the noise when the toilet was flushed was nothing less than scary. The shower just about worked but again the waterworks were enough to raise the dead! I did not think the hotel was clean and we did not feel inclined to eat there. There is nothing else in the village so we found another pub about 20 minutes away. The village itself is beautiful and worth a walk through. The airport service is ok, although a bit further than I thought. Maybe the other rooms were ok, maybe it was just the top room that was a problem, but in my view they should not be letting that room out until work has been done on it.
