Description: A beautiful Continental Style Bistro directly on the bank of the Marine Lake with views over the River Dee to Wales, to Hilbre Island and the open sea. We cater for beautiful breakfasts, lunches (including our Chef's home made specials) afternoon teas and our famous small plates and tiered specials. Our selection of wines has been specially picked and we do serve carafe's and half carafe's.(Unlike anyone else) The House Wine is especially good and our selection of beers is exceptionally good. This is a really nice friendly Bistro with everything you could wish for, fantastic views, fantastic food, fantastic drinks, fantastic staff and a "fantastic owner"

This is a lovely place to eat with views to match....very friendly staff. We go quite often for sandwiches and the lovely wedges....thoroughly enjoyed the food ever time we visit. Recommended from "ladies that lunch" twice a week.

Often visit Tanskeys for coffee and cakes after a walk around the Marine Lake. The coffee is great and there is a great range of cakes to try, 1am partial to the scone with butter, jam and clotted cream where as my daughter loves their chocolate fudge cake.

We ate there today for the first time. I had the egg mayonnaise sandwich which had plenty of filling in lovely soft white bread and it came with a delicious side salad with coleslaw. My wife had the bacon sandwich on brown as did one of our friends and his wife had the chili con carne with rice and nachos. We all remarked on how fresh and tasty it was. This is a great place to sit, especially the window seats, which have probably some of the best sunsets on the Wirral with Hilbre Island as a back drop.

There is live music on Fridays and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. A great way to while away an evening with a glass of wine. There is a great variety of light bites, snacks and main meals on the menu and we will certainly be back to sample some more of them.

Most Sundays after walking the dog a walk along the prom we go to Tanskeys for coffee, my puppy dog is allowed in the outside conservatory so it is ideal. The coffee and toast are excellent and they even provide dog biscuits and water for my dog, what more can you ask for!

I have been to Tanskeys on a couple of occasions with my dad, and we have both enjoyed our lunches each time.
I tend to opt for their sandwiches - my favourite is the italian chicken - and dad tends to choose something off their specials board.
Each time the staff are always very friendly and the service we receive is great.
The coffee's are a little on the small side, but very hot and strong.

The tables in the windows always have a great view no matter the weather, but you will have to reserve one.

After a wander round West Kirby Tanskeys was an ideal place to take a break for a coffee. Situated in a small park this is a relaxing place. The cakes looked divine, but we only had coffee here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to another visit in the Autumn.
