I have just spent 3 nights at 42 Caldy Road, everywhere was spotless, lovely house, great views, handy for beach walks and handy for visiting old friends I left on the Wirral. Sue brilliant hostess, very professional, (didn't meet Ken but spoke to him on the phone he was very helpful and friendly - he even went out and bought some Weetabix for me) - excellent, I will certainly stay again, and again, and again! and have passed details on to my friends/family. Stayed one night as we were attending a friends party, Sue & Ken very hospitable & welcoming. The guest house is picturesque & views from the terrace quite lovely. Room a little on the small side with tea & coffee making facilities, did not like the small cups & saucers, just a bit fiddly & fussy, but bed was divine, with beautiful, white, crisp, percale bedding. En-suite bathroom very nice with elemis products available, would have liked a throw away shower cap to save hair from dampness but that is just a minor grumble. An experience we would love to repeat.

Room Tip: From the photographs available on the website. There looks to be a room overlooking the terrace with...

My husband and I have stay at 42 Caldy Road for three nights recently. We have stayed several times over the years, and always return because it consistently retains its high standards. It's a convenient walk to the sea, and there are a couple of pubs within easy walking distance. Highly recommended!

Really good. Quiet. Great breakfast. Fantastic views and sunsets. Was a nostalgia trip for my mother. Yes, it's lovely. TV in room. Very clean. Don't really see why it has to be 200 characters!!!
Oh well what else can I say???!!! Ho-hum. I like the Wirral. That's where I grew up.

Room Tip: Room at the back with the balcony is the best one!

Excellent - in every way, from the beautifully appointed bedroom, with large comfy bed & crisp white linen, enjoying the fantastic view across the Estuary - to the fabulous full English breakfasts in the beautiful dining lounge over looking the gardens. No request was too much trouble, and Sue was the perfect hostess and cooks the most perfect poached eggs! The location is within easy walking distance of West Kirby and restaurants, and the direct train link to Liverpool meant we could easily spend the day visiting all the city attractions. And as was promised the most amazing sunsets, right from your bedroom !. We will certainly be back very soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

When writing about 42 Caldy Road, it's hard to know what to rave about. The view across the river Dee to the Welsh mountains is unequalled. Our hosts Sue and Ken Graves are so friendly and attentive to our every need we feel right at home from the moment we arrive. Comfortable beds, bountiful breakfasts - what more can one need. We grew up in the area so tend to take it for granted but REAL tourists are always amazed to find such a variety of natural attractions so readily available. We highly recommend a stay here. A couple, now from Fort Myers, Florida.
