The staff were lovely & helpful. However, the bedroom was far too warm and the hallway was uncomfortably hot. The bedroom was small and needed more storage space. We tried to borrow a cooling fan but they were already dished out on a first come first served basis. We were able to borrow a hair drier when required. Didn't try the food, instead had breakfast in the nearby Morrisons which was good & cheap. Parking was free and plenty of it. There's a lovely car-free 45 minute walk to the Mersey ferry terminal (just over 2 miles away). Overall, a good place to stay if the weather is not too hot & the price is discounted.

we stayed for 3 nights recently, lovely sea view from our 2 rooms, managed to get 2 rooms next door to each other as well, the rooms were lovely but very very hot at night. we stayed on the 2nd floor so a little noise from outside but not a lot. lovely area to stay in with restaurants and coffee shops all very near, and very close to Liverpool and all the attractions.

Room Tip: try and get a room on top floor but it might be hot at night in the summer

We have stayed in this Travelodge many times as it is in a great location.
The hotel is right next to a variety of restaurants, a cinema and a supermarket. This is great because you can get a hot breakfast from Morrisons which is just around the corner.
You can catch the bus into Liverpool from the bus stop outside Morrisons. This is much better than trying to drive into Liverpool and pay for expensive parking. The staff at the hotel will be more than happy to tell you the details of the buses and will do there utmost to answer any queations you may have about anything.
We stayed in a family room where we had a great view across the water where you can watch the boats. My mother has a real passion for boats and Laura on reception even gave us a copy of a time table for all the main boats coming into Liverpool.
Take a walk on the prom and see the superb model of a pirate ship made from drift wood.
All in all this is a great little hotel in a fantastic location with amazing staff that really value your custom.

Stayed here on a wkend. Looked forward to our break away for ages. Room good, good views. Very hot in room. Noise from club at end of complex very bad-till 3.30am . So little sleep. All the restaurants also empty bins by going past at different times in night!!!

Lovely area, ferry to Liverpool 3 miles away.
Need heat in rooms addressing.

The room is what you expect from a travelodge- cheap, plain room, clean, lacking character but for £25 you get what you need.

Except the room advertised online said it had a kingsized bed- it was a double. Which made for uncomfortable sleeping.

Also- the heat! I mean it wasn't even that hot compared to previous days but it was sweltering in our room. We could only open the window about 2 inches so there was practically no air circulating. This is health and safety gone crazy- maybe have some childproof locks installed but I really think if there is a "heat wave" like we have currently experienced, we should be able to open some windows.

They did provide us with a fan but it was so hot, it was just blowing warm air- and the plug was too far away to have the fan by the window to make it a bit cooler.

There was noise from the local pubs but I know that can't be helped.

Other than that, it was clean, staff (when you see them) were very polite- one woman in particular (didn't catch her name- tall ladt with glasses) really helped- we asked for a top sheet because the duvet was too warm and she came up with it within a few mins.

So in general- travelodge is good enough- just put the right beds in and when it's hot let us open some windows please!

Needed to find a cheap, but good quality overnight stay in the area. The Travelodge was great - it had free on-site parking, the staff were friendly and the rooms very clean (this was one of their refurbished sites)
