“great food great portions”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

we go here at least twice a month always have a good meal, Steve has a great team working for him,the menu is varied and covers all tastes and they don't skimp on the portions, they have a nice selection of beers and wines,Sunday lunchtimes are always busy and booking a table is advisable,They also have B&B in the old converted fire station

“Lovely pub, good food”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

We stayed in the nearby norton park hotel, but as the food was quite expensive we decided to walk to sutton scotney. The coach and horses is a very nice pub with an open fire, very cosy. Even though it was busy one of the barmen freed up a table for us in the darts room and food arrived in good time. Despite being a small village, the food was reasonably priced and very tasty. I had the venison burger which was very tasty! Reccomend paying a visit :)

“Good food, nice surroundings”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

Worth eating here, especially if you're staying at the nearby Norton Park Hotel. Jukebox music occasionally tinny and annoying - but otherwise: environment, log fire, food, ales, staff ... great. Loyalty scheme ... but beware: you have to spend £35 to get any money back, which the application form doesn't tell you.

“Great local pub”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

We have just moved into the village, and what a discovery the Coach is...We were made to feel most welcome on the couple of visits we made over Christmas, and the New Year's Eve celebrations were fabulous, great atmosphere, and proper village knees-up.

“Quaint local pub”
Reviewed 21 December 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for lunch to this lovely little pub..very cosy with the fire going on a wintry day. We ordered off the extensive blackboard menu and were all pleasantly surprised with our meals (makes a change from the awful chain pubs)! Best of the bunch was the braised faggots and the piece of battered cod was massive.
