We visited here on our way back home on a Sunday afternoon. The food was really tasty and the staff friendly . It was very good quality pub food rather than a pub trying to be a gourmet restaurant, I had the streak and kidney pudding which was tasty and the vegetables were cooked to perfection.

we go here at least twice a month always have a good meal, Steve has a great team working for him,the menu is varied and covers all tastes and they don't skimp on the portions, they have a nice selection of beers and wines,Sunday lunchtimes are always busy and booking a table is advisable,They also have B&B in the old converted fire station

We stayed in the nearby norton park hotel, but as the food was quite expensive we decided to walk to sutton scotney. The coach and horses is a very nice pub with an open fire, very cosy. Even though it was busy one of the barmen freed up a table for us in the darts room and food arrived in good time. Despite being a small village, the food was reasonably priced and very tasty. I had the venison burger which was very tasty! Reccomend paying a visit :)

Worth eating here, especially if you're staying at the nearby Norton Park Hotel. Jukebox music occasionally tinny and annoying - but otherwise: environment, log fire, food, ales, staff ... great. Loyalty scheme ... but beware: you have to spend £35 to get any money back, which the application form doesn't tell you.
