Been to this pub several times for lunch and dinner, menu is varied and very reasonably priced with quick service. Setting is lovely and staff and very friendly and keen to please.First Thursday of the month quiz night is great fun but the carpark is small so arrive early and nearly all tables are pre-booked so make sure you do to.

We were a party of five adults and we reserved a table in advance. We had a drink whilst browsing the menu. For me, I ordered the soup followed by the lamb shank (a special for the day). The waitress returned several minutes after taking the orders to say that they were out of soup. This is the first time I have been told that in any pub or restaurant. However, both the new starter of pate and the lamb were excellent. Two others in the party had baked Camebert and they said it was delicious. However, one mains of Irish stew, although delicious, did not have much meat. We learnt from the next table that it was the last portion. Those who went for the sirloin steak did enjoy the dish but thought the triple-fried chips were just two big and the half-tomatoes were over-cooked.Desserts were generally good. Two went for the waitress's recommendation of chocolate fondant. Although they were nice, there was no runny chocolate sauce, so we complained and the cost was deducted from the bill which was a nice conclusion to our meal.

This is one of my local pubs and I am so pleased!
It's in a beautiful village near to Tewin woods so great for a day walking and country pub lunch.
Food is well priced, tasty and staff are friendly.
It has a lively out front beer garden for summer and open log fire for winter.
Just lush!

This old pub it's a very good pub the food is very good if you go in staving you come out not looking for food for a long while, the beer is good,it has so many customers that the car park is not big enough and you end up parking in the Rd and it's only a lane.
But go and enjoy yourselves
