Enjoyed a gathering with friends, table had been reserved and we had the nice round one with a view of outside and also the wonderful open fires. Food nicely presented and tasty. Great range of beers too. Lovely atmosphere to enjoy our night out

We took my mother in law to lunch for her birthday. It is worth booking as it was very busy. Our party of 5 had the traditional Sunday lunch from a choice of Lamb, pork or beef. The food was excellent and a good sized portion. the pork was very tender and so was my mother in law's lamb. The service was good and helpful and I would certainly recommend this pub for lunch

17 Dec. The starters disappointing different to the website. Mains: no fish and chips, no gammon, run out at about 8.30 pm. The special of "faggotts" (plural) turned up as ONE faggot, they cost £5 for 6 at the local butcher, Trussells, and this was £12 for a main course. It's like serving ONE sausage or one meatball. FSo the menu stated faggotts (plural) so they asked if 2 of our party wanted another - "yes please" but they seemed surprised! It was an ok meal we wanted another bottle of the same red wine, sadly there was none. Won't be rushing back, £75 per couple for an okish supper - just!

Lovely country pub with excellent choice of real ales. Staff very friendly, helpful and approachable! Dogs well behaved with owners so fun early Friday night beer taster with other half. Definitely go back and looking forward to sampling more beer and trying out the menu! Top of my list for recent discovery crawl of real ales !
