We had a voucher to go here for afternoon tea. It was a sunny afternoon and the hotel looked lovely as we arrived. We were sat at a table with a view of the grounds which looked beautiful. The waiting staff were all very pleasant, welcoming and efficient. We had prosecco to start and then the sandwiches etc. it was all very nicely presented and an enjoyable experience. A number of other couples were there and all seemed to be enjoying themselves.
we would go back.

Main part of the hotel looks great, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and free parking is a huge plus. You get what you pay for though and our inexpensive room in the annex across from the main hotel was below average. There's no wifi in the annex, the bed was not comfortable, and we got very little rest because we could hear every little noise happening in other rooms and outside. Don't recommend this place if you're not going to spring for a room in the main building.

Many years ago when I stayed here previously I had what can be best described as a disaster!!! When I had to stay here again, apprehension may be the polite word for my feelings. I was allocated a room in the rooms o the other side of the lane. The room was fine double bed, wooden floors and a shower room, which all very modern.

The problem the proximity of the airport!!!!! Planes landing / taking off fly directly over the hotel, every time a plane went over head the TV cut out!!!! As on both mornings I had to leave early it was hardly the biggest problem.

Great Hallingbury Manor catered and accommodated 32 couples for this charity raising event.
Nothing whatsoever went wrong or was different to that ordered.
The staff without exception were extremely good and always had a happy face.
All the guests loved the venue, rooms and food.
If you are thinking of an event here you cannot go wrong.
Maybe ask for Georgina to arrange all with you. She is an asset to this Hotel.

my friend took me here for a treat, having experienced other afternoon teas this one was below par, cheese and tomato, egg with no taste, finger sandwiches, couple of tiny pieces of cake, a ruuny fruit tart, the only nice thing was scones. asked for couple more finger sandwiches, said we had to pay extra £2.50, service was polite and friendly, but other than that a bit of a let down!
