“lunch”
Reviewed 23 March 2014 via mobile

basically you get what you pay for, i had piri piri chicken which was very good, wife chose nachos sharer/starter with chips, as she has tried all vegi meals (limited and scarce) and wanted something different, granted it was a large plateful but couldnt have been more boring, tasteless and not well presented. will visit again but choose meal carefully

“Cheap and extremely cheerful”
Reviewed 22 March 2014 via mobile

We have eaten here several times, food is of a good standard and staff helpful. The building & history surrounding it is amazing. The only downside is the smokers section which is in the courtyard, the external doors are open close all night so very drafty:(

“Dissatisfied”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 via mobile

Myself, Dad, partner and 3 year old son visited for breakfast yesterday morning at about 11:30am. The only free tables had not been cleared but we sat down; piled them and read the menu. The place was fairly busy but no staff member looked rushed off their feet. 15 minutes later my Dad politely asked a passing waitress if she could please move them. She gave him a dirty look then moved them to another table. We ordered breakfasts and a jam on toast, which did arrive quickly, however the bacon was chewy, tomatoes burnt, and the eggs looked as if they'd been in an explosion on the plate! Not visually appealing. The toast came without jam; then the male waiter asked if we wanted the jam?! Well....yes, please! We ate through necessity of hunger however I will not be back in a hurry

“Speedy cheap Pub grub! ”
Reviewed 12 March 2014 via mobile

Visited at 2pm Wednesday. Was pretty quiet after the lunchtime rush no doubt.
The man who served us was very friendly. Food was served very quickly!
I had the gourmet chicken burger meal with free drink.
I upgraded the standard coffee to a large latte for 30p so it was £6.29.
Burger came on a toasted bun, a chicken breast no breadcrumbs & had 3 onion rings on it as well as 2 pieces of bacon, salad & this cheesey stuff which looked a bit rank but tasted quite nice! It came with more onion rings & the standard weatherspoons freezer chips.
My fellow eaters had the beef burger & chicken BBQ panini.
Everyone enjoyed their lunch & there were no complaints.
