Allow plenty of time to see these wonderful gardens. Lots to see and plenty of walking trails with helpful volunteers on hand to enhance the experience.

Sadly our Laburnum Arch is now over but over 40,000 visitors enjoyed seeing it in full flower. We would struggle to manage without our dedicated Volunteers so anyone wishing join the Team should email Bodnant Garden or give me ring on 01492 650460.

The rhododendrons were almost over but the roses had just begun to bloom. The Liburnum tunnel was still in bloom and was incredible. The gardens around the mansion are formal and full of various flowers, peonies, roses, magnolias etc. The walking trails through the grounds are endless, but there is a tea room at the mid point. Lots of water features such as lakes, spillways and steams. Incredibly large redwoods, cedars, and cypress. Seemed very family friendly. Nicest large garden of the National Trust that I have visited so far.

a whole day is needed to see the fantastic gardens and scenery in it , the laburnum arch was in full bloom and is truly wonderful ,it should be on every gardeners wish list to see in their lifetime, every part of the garden is a delight and do try to give yourself time to enjoy it, all the areas both formal and the more open areas are each an eye opener, we liked that every plant or tree is well marked and easy to identify and that a lot of the plants were available in the garden centre .a visit to the farm shop finished of the day with an excellent tea and scone and some purchases of local produce.

We have lived within easy reach of this wondrous place, surprisingly our first visit was at the end of May, the main purpose of the visit was to see the Main Attraction at this time of year , the wonder ours laburnum Arch , which was in full bloom and looked tremendous and is a sight to behold and should be nominated as the 8th wonder of the world . To appreciate this at it's best to go early morning when less crowded ,the Arch is in full bloom at the end of May to early june the Gardens open at 10am . The gardens are well stocked and established , but you need to bear in mind is that the terrain can be very steep in places , but there are plenty of seats to take a breather if needed . There is a lot to see and you need to visit at least twice in a year . There is plenty of parking , but I would think that it could become quite full quickly as this is a major attraction and a National Trust property , so if you are a member entry is free , if not there is a nominal entrance fee.

I certainly recommend Bodnant Gardens and will return again to make sure I see all that I missed on this my first visit. Bodnant is a National Trust property and is well sign posted so easy to find. As a NT member there was no admission fee for me, there is a reasonable charge to non trust members. There is ample parking although some spaces are quite a walk and there is a fair brew so could be difficult for some. There are spaces for the disabled closer to the entrance. They have made big efforts to make the gardens accessible for everybody. Some parts of the gardens could be difficult for the elderly or those with mobility issues but there are paths signed for wheel chair users. Overall there is something for everybody. The toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. There are cafe facilities although we only had a hot drink at the refreshment bar in the garden. The gardens are very well maintained and has many fabulous specimens of plants and trees. There are so many features to mention I would suggest that you pay Bodnant a visit and see for youself. I imagine a visit every three months would show a very different garden due to seasonal changes. I'm certainly looking forward to my next visit.
