I stayed for two nights in the Marjoram Room in the farmhouse either side of an event I was part of. The room was very confortable and had the most wonderful view of the Conwy valley. The soft furnishings throughout the house are tasteful and compliment this fabulous venue. Superb breakfast in the Hay Loft rstaurant - freshly cooked from scratch with great coffee.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the river

I stayed at the Bondant Welsh food centre on 20th June 2014 as part of a wedding group. I was the best man. The restaurant hosted the Wedding reception in the afternoon. The food and service was outstanding. All the food is produced on site and it was perfectly cooked and prepared. There was also seconds and thirds for anyone wished for more.

Additionally, the service was impeccable and the waiting staff very attentive.

The evening reception was located in the courtyard and cafe area on the site. Again the food was superb and the staff excellent.

That night I stayed in a single room in the farmhouse, and found the accommodation immaculate and comfortable. There was a good sized en-suite and the breakfast the following day was delicious and plentiful. A fantastic venue - thanks for all the hard work that that staff put into making the weekend so memorable for the bride and groom (it made my job easier!)

What a lovely place! Beautiful courtyard setting, fabulous re-use of old buildings, perfectly complemented by the modern twists. We visited for lunch following a trip to nearby Bodnant Gardens and before making a visit to Llandudno, and so glad we discovered this gem. We had a light lunch sat in the courtyard outside the tea room, having drinks and sandwiches. It was the softest bread, really generous size, with lovely welsh black beef and horseradish, and my husband had cheese and pickle. Friendly staff, great value, and delicious milk & honey ice cream for dessert!

Spent 4 nights late April. I'd go along with much of what the previous reviewer says, just about as good as it gets. No complaints at all. The food is wonderful, and almost too much of it at times. But they go out of their way to please, and they certainly did that. A full Welsh breakfast literally sets you up for the day. Staff are superb, and it's not often you can say that anywhere. Nothing is too much trouble, and the on-site farm shop has to be seen to be believed. Breads, cheeses, preserves are only the half of it, all made on site. Best farm shop and butchery I've ever seen. Even a superb wine shop if you want wine. A nice clean room, good quality shower, works perfectly. Impressed with having a coffee perculator and real Bodnant-blend coffee in room, as well as tea, biscuits, etc. Would love to go back, and soon, but it's a heck of a drive for this old man, so perhaps next year and go for a full week. All in all, lovely memories of an amazing four days.

Room Tip: Being a farmhouse, the walls are thick. Lovely and cosy. So can be a bit overwarm at night, we dis...

Stayed here for 2 nights in early April looking for rest and recuperation. We certainly found it, with the most calming and restful outlook, designer but not in your face decor and wonderfully welcoming staff who all talk to you where ever you are on the site. The site includes a food store a dairy a cafe, a cookery school and a lovely barn like restaurant.Bedrooms are not large but are perfectly formed with great tea coffee and water, good ensuite with good water pressure on the shower. All spotlessly clean. There is use of a kitchen and lounge for b and b residents too.We took breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant. Both were of a high standard from a smallish menu. This is not nouvelle quisine, portions are large and ingredients are home sourced.I would recommend the pork, beef and cheese.Downsides are few but need attention. The upstairs sash windows open wide at the bottom straight off a low window seat, an accident waiting to happen. The menu at breakfast needs more than 3 cereals, plain yogurt and fresh fruit on the table.Dried fruits prunes apricots and flavoured yogurts would help those who like something lighter. No breads or croisants either which was a surprise as they bake on the premises and their bread is delicious.Having seemed to criticise the breakfast I must say the full welsh was very impressive as was the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.

Room Tip: There is one ground floor room for disabled.Ask for room overlooking the river which is most of them...

The converted farmhouse accommodation has lots of character. Bedroom was no frills (and didn't want any), clean and had a good 'feel' with a magnificent view across the Conwy Valley. Staff service was excellent throughout - efficiency with a smile.
We had a dinner and breakfast; both meals were well prepared using local produce, well presented and tasted great! The lounge area and kitchen had everything we needed to help us relax.
The lounge area close to the bedroom was comfortable and we were able to take a post dinner drink there. Having a well-equipped kitchen close to the bedrooms was also a bonus.

Room Tip: Waking up to a view across the Conwy Valley is a great way to start the day.

We chose to stay at Bodnant while we were attending a wedding in Conwy. The wedding hotel was out of our price range but The Bodnant offered an affordable two nights in a double room/ensuite with breakfast for £80 a night.
Even before arriving the host was very helpful; she made sure a room was ready for us before the check-in time so we could get ready before the wedding. The room itself was well furnished, clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, with views over the river.
Our guest house was part of a complex containing an attractive farm shop, tea room, bar and a restaurant. We also had our own personal lounge and kitchenette (which the host encouraged us to feel at home in) which were scattered with complimentary bowls of chocolates and mince pies!

The breakfast was delicious, varied and generous; it was served in the beautiful Hayloft Restaurant; as the name suggests, it is a converted hay barn which has been renovated. I ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on homemade bread twice because they were so good.

The only possible downside to the stay was the taxi from Conwy to The Bodnant which cost us £25! Quite extortionate for a 15 minute drive. This wasn't necessarily a negative aspect of The Bodnant though.

If I go back to Conwy, I know where I will be staying.
