We arrived after a long walk from Ingleby Cross on the C2C rather weary after battling the wind and rain over the moors. We were warmly welcomed, shown to our room and given a tray of tea and choccy biscuits.
The room was a good size with a huge bathroom and a separate bath and shower. The bath was used for a good soak!
Andrea had good information about how far the poubs were and so we chose the nearest to eat in. We were given a jug of fresh milk for tea too which is a pleasure compared to the plastis pots usually supplied.
Breakfast next morning was good and there was plenty on offer.
Andrea also dropped us off in the car back at Clay Bank top to continue on our way.
All in all a very enjoyable nights stay with a very friendly, obliging landlady.
