So myself and husband went for a meal in the evening sun. I ordered a thin crust pizza. My husband ordered rump steak. Disappointed is an u derststement. Pizza was cold. I paid an extra £1.95 for the pulled pork. My husbands steak was dire. £10 for the pizza, £10 for the rump steak. Both meals were cold and we waited 1 1/2 hours. Will not be eating here again. Complacency seems to have taken over. Over priced rubbish. No cutlery given and no condiments given or even asked if we wanted any. Really poor service.

Stpopped at tge Blue Bell for an evening meal on a very warm evening. Plenty of outside seating although this does involve being amongst the smokers.
Special offer of 2 for the price of 1 main dishes so very cheap. As a result food was average.

I have been here a few times for meals, but last time I went to the loo as well.
The food is very good, the chips are to die for, all meals are two for one and very economical. But the toilets are awful, none of the doors fit, let alone lock, the whole area is badly in need of a coat of paint. staff don't patrol so blocked toilets are left until closing time. I tend to think if the toilets look this grotty, what does the kitchen look like. great food but I won't be going back

We do know the toilets need attention the doors unfortunately have warped and the locks no longer fit. This is in the process of getting sorted. We have a 5 star rating from the council in our kitchen. You can check out any pub or restaurant you go to with scores on the doors in the council web site this gives customers peace of mind when dining anywhere. I hope you will give us another try and thank you for your lovely comments regarding our food

3 different chicken dishes ordered all tasted the same, daughters margarita pizza was a thick stodgy base,
Wouldn’t recommend the food, 2 for 1 menu, probably would have spent similar elsewhere for better quality, it isn’t value for money if you don’t enjoy it.

Nice pub with lovely beer garden overlooking the Tees. However if you want to eat, then you cannot take your dog - not even in the beer garden or the benches near the river - seems a very bad interpretation of health and hygiene - lots of other pubs and restaurants do not have this rule, as was commented on by the bar staff. Very disappointing

We do allow dogs on the benches by the river , as we don’t serve food down there . We have had this rule in place for a number of years not everyone likes dogs around when they are eating, so we decided as they are a number of places that are dog friendly , we would cater for people that are not great fans of dogs, we have found that works very well and most customers understand, we are sorry about your experience at the blue bell and hope you won’t let this deter you from visiting us again
