We booked this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to walk Roseberry topping and the Cook memorial. The check-in was superb, professional and friendly and not too formal which was nice. The room was beautiful, very nicely decorated, spotless with a lovely seating area on a low mezzanine. The room had every amenity you could require, hairdryer, iron etc. The only let down were the miserly toiletries, just a small soap, a minute shampoo and shower gel - no problem, I had taken my own but it's usual now to have body lotion and conditioner at least. I did like however the bottled water in glass rather than plastic and I also liked the fact that there was a selection of books. Overall very happy with the room. The rest of the hotel is beautiful, it's been restored but still has many of the original features, very tasteful and lovely grounds. We were lucky with the weather and was able to take our complimentary bottle of wine outside to enjoy at teatime. The meal was booked for 7.45 but was delayed due to a problem with a leak from a radiator, not really an issue but we were overlooked when the information was given which left us wondering what was going on. Anyway it was sorted and eventually we enjoyed a delicious meal. Staff training is an issue in the restaurant, they are pleasant but so disorganised, if you asked them something they dissapeared to 'check' and never returned, or looked alarmed to the point you didn't want to bother them. I understand they are a new team so hopefully this will be sorted out in time. The poor restaurant manager was run ragged but did notice an error with our meal and rectified it with a free bottle of wine which was appreciated (although it was on the bill the following day - sorted by reception). Breakfast was generous but again the lack of experience of the staff showed, particularly when I asked for a teaspoon and was told they were 'all out of teaspoons at the moment'. There is usually a canteen of cutlery within a dining room but they had to walk miles, or so it seemed for anything you requested. Saying all of that all of the food was delicious, the staff albeit poorly trained were lovely and I would definitely go back and recommend.

Stayed here over a weekend whilst attending a wedding at Grinkle Park. There were quite a few of us staying and we were pleased to see we were all on the same floor and in nearby rooms. The hotel, grounds and rooms are all superb with very helpful and friendly staff throughout. We ate in the g bar bistro on the Friday evening and the food was lovely & very reasonably priced.
The only fault we could find all weekend was breakfast. We had breakfast both mornings of our stay and whilst the continental had a really good selection, the cooked breakfast wasn’t of a good quality. Both mornings my order was wrong, no egg on the first morning with my traditional breakfast and on the second the requested soft boiled eggs & toast soldiers came as hard boiled eggs with no toast and one of the eggs looked like it had been dropped on the floor it was so smashed lol.
All in all we had a great stay and whilst the breakfast wouldn’t put us off staying again we may stick to continental next time.

We attended a wedding and reception at the Hall during the afternoon and evening on a Saturday.

The Setting is spectacular. The service was also excellent.

The Wedding room was also used for the meal and Disco. All excellent.

The weather was great so we spent some time outside between event in the excellent gardens.

A great place for a wedding and reception.

Stopped here after walking 18 miles from Great Broughton. Hotel and rooms were excellent, only issue being the room was so hot with no way of cooling it down so resorted to a cold shower in the middle of night. In general the food was of an excellent standard, the front of house in the restaurant was a little stand offish and the two steaks ordered were really overcomes. Would recommend and stay again.

Dear KezraB,

Thank you for your review. What a lovely walk! I hope the weather was kind to you? We are always reviewing feedback to keep our standards to an optimum level. We have fans available on request to cool the rooms during the summer months.
It was heartening to read you enjoyed the steaks, a very popular choice. Glad to hear you would recommend the hotel.

Look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Having tried - and been hugely disappointed - a number of hotels/accommodation in the area, I found Guisborough Hall in April 18. I have been staying one night per week every week since. I simply cannot find one thing to fault!

Guisborough Hall is reminiscent of traditional true quality that seems to have been lost along the route to provide ultra modern facilities in other hotels.

The entire hotel is immmacute and spotless. With original exquisite features, each room is styled to an exacting standard retaining a consistent style and yet offering a variety of different features.

The staff cannot do enough for you and genuinely care about your experience.

The best night sleep I get through the week. Just perfect!
Thank you
