Just stayed the one night on the way home from Scotland and wanted to explore the N Yorks Moor. This is a small Premier Inn and as others have pointed out, it is on a busy main road. They called me a few days in advance to 'confirm the booking' and told me the hotel was on a main road. I had a ground floor room at the back and didn't notice it but I kept the windows closed and I was very tired.
The room was the usual Premier Inn standard, clean, enormous double bed, quality linen, good shower. Staff were very friendly.
The adjacent pub was a Chef & Brewer serving typical pub food. To eat elsewhere would require transport. I was pleasantly surprised by the scallop on black pudding starter which was excellent but the sirloin steak was decidedly average; they didn't have any rib-eye. The 'english mustard' I asked for I suspect came from a yellow squeezy bottle and was most unpleasant. They deducted a drink from the bill.
I normally carp about paying for wi-fi but this appears to be a 3G/4G black hole so £3 for 24 wi-fi seemed a not bad alternative (there is 30min free).
I would stay here again if in the area but a room at the back is essential.

Room Tip: You must have a room at the back.

Stayed at this Premier Inn for five nights and was made very welcome and had a most enjoyable stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very comfortable in all areas. The restaurant was very nice with friendly waiting and bar staff and the quality of the food was excellent. A very happy and enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a long weekend to the North Yorks National Park and coast. As mentioned by other reviewers, the inn is located next to the A171 dual carriageway, so we were relieved to find that we had a rear facing room, where we didn't need the triple glazing.. We did get disturbed on the Saturday night by a very loud and inconsiderate group of revellers returning from their night out at 12.30 am, otherwise the place seemed quiet and comfortable. We didn't use the adjacent Chef and Brewer pub for breakfast or dinner, preferring instead to make the short drive into wonderful Guisborough

Room Tip: Rooms at back to avoid the main road noise, though triple glazing is very good.

Hotel us well place for visiting North Yorkshire moors & towns.
Whitby not far away, is well worth a visit.
Lots of small villages in the area are worth a visit.
Countryside is beautiful.
Visit was to see family, was nice to have a pleasant bar area to sit in and socialise!

Room Tip: Only two storey but book ground floor if you gave difficulty with stairs!

Room was clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable although the room itself was very warm. It was close to the wedding we were attending. The bar was ok but they did not seem to have many flavour crips etc left. The breadkfast was really good. Staff very friendly.

Large room and very comfortable and clean. A verynoisy location being next to a very busy road the A171. Poor mobile reception in the hotel. I was disappointed to find that it did not have the usual Premier Inn self serve cooked breakfast

Room Tip: Request back of the hotel away from the road but sadly poor mobile reception
