“The best cider ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2014 via mobile

The museum is nice but the shop is excellent and they have a nice little cafe too. The fresh cider is excellent and they have free tastings all year round. The village it is set in is very pretty although some of the local roads are suffering from the recent bad weather so take care driving here.

I return here to buy cider every time I'm passing within 20 miles because it is so good. It's nice to see a small business doing well and deservedly so, they have some amazing products.

“Making trips to the inlaws bearable since 2005!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 December 2013

I've been a fan of Perrys since my inlaws introduced me to the place on one of my first visits to Somerset.

Its undergone a wonderful transformation in the time I've been visiting, the old shop in the barn did have wonderful character, which I do miss, but the new shop and cafe are welcome additions, the product ranges are superb. I always make a point in stocking up for the trip home, much better cider than anything the super markets can offer.

Really recommend a visit if your ever in the area.

“Christmas Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2013

We had a family Christmas lunch here and it was wonderful.
The food was delicious. Local turkey and all the trimmings. As good as home cooking. Fresh, crunchy vegetables, crispy roast potatoes. Gorgeous Christmas pudding and clotted cream. The extremely reasonable price - £14.50 for 2 courses - included a glass of mulled cider and lovely coffee and mints. Also, crackers and party poppers! A very nice veggie option available too.
All the staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a baby with us and the staff provided a scrupulously clean high chair and lots of toys for him.
Would highly recommend this little tea room. Thank you.

“A Dowlish Wake must visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

The cider mill has been owned by the Perry family for several generations. Not only does it sell a wide range of ciders(personal favourite is Medium Vintage) but it is a lifeline to local villagers offering a variety of local food and interesting gifts. Cider can be purchased in bottles , flagons or plastic refillable containers. It is a great time to visit as you can see some of the process in action.
The cafe is small and intimate but isn't always open.
Once you've tasted their cider you won't be satisfied with anything less!

“cider with rosie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

a really well stocked farm shop with a lot of variety and excellent choice of foods, and of course the locally pressed ciders. Second time we have visited, and the place is improving all the time with the addition of a new tea room, which we didn't have time to sample, but will definitely wan to do so next time.
