We stayed in the Old Court on a very short trip to Bath. It was a little further outside of Bath than we expected but this was a great accident as the location is beautful, unspoilt countryside - perfect for an evening walk before dinner. The en-suite room we had was very nicely decorated, unfortunately our room faced what was quite a busy road and some traffic noises were a little annoying, this perhaps was just Monday morning traffic which might not effect weekend travellers.
The breakfast was very nice, and Nancy the proprietor is very friendly, couldnt have been more helpful before and during the stay. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

We were Australians travelling in the UK and were looking for alternative accomodation to the usual motel. We booked pubs, farms etc across England, and saw the Old Court, and immediatly booked it. It exceeded all our expectations, we stayed in the jail cells, which were suprisingly warm and cosy ( im sure that is a change from the original!!) Beds were comfortable, both breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked and we sat by the open fire in the upsairs lounge and read one evening. Nancy was extremely welcoming and we felt more like family guests than paying customers. A delightful stay, would heartily recommend.

We had a very comfortable break at The Old Court over the Easter weekend. Nancy gave us a warm welcome and took time to chat despite the fact that she was very busy as all the rooms were taken. She is clearly very proud of The Old Court and it is certainly unique. We booked the Magistrate's Chamber which was very comfortable and clean. We had thought the old building might be cold but it was warm with plenty of hot water for our large jacuzzi bath. When we pointed out a light bulb which wasn't working it was replaced immediately. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty and Nancy found time to chat again before we left. She was keen to point out that this is not a hotel but a family home, this is obvious from the relaxed atmosphere. We would thoroughly recommend the experience.

We had a wonderful few days break at The Old Court, staying in the very comfortable Magistrates room. In Nancy's abscence, Carole welcomed us and we knew straight away that we would enjoy our stay. Her husband Bill cooked us a lovely breakfast each day and nothing was too much trouble for either of them. We will certainly recommend it to friends, and hope to get back again soon to this stunning unique building.

Owner was very well organised to give exact directions on how to reach the B&B once we had arrived in the area. B&B is quirky as it's an old jail. Room had a separate bathroom an both room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Bed was very comfy indeed.

Breakfast in the morning was lovely.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does have it's own bathroom allocated.

The Old Court guesthouse is a stunning building both inside and out, with unique rooms and a high level of cleanliness. We stayed in the Queen Ann Boleyn cell- it was a fantastic room with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Excellent breakfast with a varied choice, in a lovely room that gave us a chance to meet other guests. Very warm hospitality, Nancy was very informative and booked a table for us at the Old Station Inn (also highly recommended!!), nothing was too much trouble. Great location, set in a quiet area but not too far from either Bristol or Bath. Would definately stay here again.
