My partner and I stayed here n October for few days. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant food was amazing but not so keen on the bar food. Room cleaned every day fresh towels also. Only disappointment was ones using the gym, pool etc... facilities should have a separate door to enter too many people coming and going plus taking up alot of the seats.

Stayed here for 4 nights as hubby on business in the area. Room a very good size for a standard hotel room, great sofa/seating bit & desk. Excellent wi-fi (which was very important for us both). Good en-suite. Breakfast actually for a hotel of this sort was quite good...fresh fruits, compotes, yoghurts, pastry & a cooked selection that was all (apart from the scrambled egg) really good. Bread for toast could be better but hey ho the pots of coffee made it up for that! Evening food a little mixed....Vintage Pub has changed since the last time we'd eaten there and after two nights we went to Vinny & Vito instead...not completely sure about what they are trying to achieve there but the Help Your Self Table was good. Reception desk staff very helpful and efficient...however issue with the shaver charger reported to House Keeping was not fixed. Quite nice having a Starbucks on the premises but there was a great independent cafe over the road that did much better coffee so went there late afternoon instead. If we need to stay in North Leeds again I'd book there no doubt

Room Tip: Our room 181 seemed to be quite a distance/route march from the stairs/lifts

At last ! Everything all in one place, decent coffee, a nice meal, a spa and great health club. I've stayed a couple of times as a hotel guest in the chain at Elstree and Cardiff. Both great, the pool area is particularly good, a proper 25m pool where you can swim! The breakfast was as good as I've had anywhere. I'd highly recommend, well worth the bit extra cost.

My boyfriend and I had a living social voucher for the Vinny and Vito restaurant - £29 for 2 courses, 2 sides and a bottle of wine, which we thought was really good value. The restaurant was fairly quiet for a Saturday night but it was really modern and trendy and the staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. We had to pick from a smaller menu but the choices were pretty good and we were also offered the meatball calzone as the special. The food was good and overall we thought it was a really good deal and really enjoyed our evening.
We noticed the restaurant do similar offers so we would return as they are really good value and the food was very good. I noticed an advert in the reception area for curry and comedy night for £11.95 which seems like a bargain!
I can't comment on the rest of the hotel but from what we saw it looked clean, modern and friendly. The pool looked huge and the pub looked quite busy.
If you want good food at a reasonable price I'd really recommend Vinny and Vito's restaurant.

Stayed this weekend whilst visiting our daughter and husband in Leeds and going to the Christmas Market.
We choose the hotel every time - great location and facilities - always a good buzz - decent bar and restaurant and got a nice upgrade to newly refurbished Upper Deluxe Room.
Only bad point this time was the waiting time for breakfast - only 5 minutes but there were free tables but just no staff to show us to the table. Only a minor point.

Room Tip: Worth paying another £20 for an Upper Deluxe Room - or ask for an upgrade!

I stayed here for 4 nights on business.
If you are a gym user, this hotel is really good. Large gym and 3 squash courts. The restaurant is good and breakfast had a good selection. There is also a Starbucks in reception.
I really enjoyed my stay and whilst I would like to score this higher as the staff were really friendly and couldnt do enough, the rooms themselves are dated with very limited facilities.
Old orange carpet in the hallways, no glass or toiletries in the bathrooms and no hotel guide in the rooms make this hotel feel more basic than a premier inn and that is why I can't rate it higher.
I really enjoyed the gym however so will probably stay there again when I'm in Leeds.

We have stayed at the hotel around 4 times as it is located perfectly for family who live around the corner. We have always viewed it as a handy, albeit basic hotel and a place to rest your head. We recently stayed in an upperdeck room and this was a much better experience for us as compared to the basic rooms which I would compare perhaps to a premier inn standard, ie cheap and cheerful and that's it. We will be returning and booking upper deck in future. we ate in the victory pub and it was good for 'pub grub' , no trouble being seated for breakfast but then we always go early.

all in all we had an enjoyable stay and we are already looking to return.
