“Friendly staff but poor facilities”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Arrived on Friday night for a last minute spa treat. Staff were lovely. Booked a king sized room for myself and my daughter. Should have had complimentary toiletries in the room but they were missing. No shower gel in the bath dispenser. no tissues. Spa area full of very young children in armbands bouncing all through the Jacuzzis parental supervision seemed non existent. Couldn't swim in the pool due to constant children's swimming lessons. Not relaxing. Booked two treatments a pedicure and a facial. Both substandard. My feet came out pretty much as they went in. Two hours later the toenails still weren't dry and so were ruined in putting shoes on. My daughters facial was also a disaster she came out with scrub still in her eyebrows. all this cost £45. The breakfast was also poor. Good selection of cereal /fruit but the cooked breakfast was poor. Tasteless sausage, greasy bacon and mushrooms and no choice of egg only scrambled. Very disappointed with this stay sadly. I have to reiterate though that the staff were very approachable and lovely

Booked for a nights stay, very pleased with the hotel. Nice reception area, lovely pool, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was very good. Not ideal for less mobile, our room was quite a trek through corridors. Room was clean, only complaint bathroom dispenser for tissues was empty and towels looked like they were used.

The village is a very nice hotel and it has excellent staff who are very attentive to your every need!!
The spa and pool area are also excellent as is the restaurant and the victory pub !!
But can someone in "Management" please tell me why the rooms are so very very hot even without heating ??????? a small fan was ok but didn't bring the temp down very much !! and I dread to think what it must be like in the Summer !! The rooms are also a little tired and to add to the heat on one of our twin beds was a "folded" double duvet of very poor quality "Polyester"!! needless to say the duvets came off the beds and we slept under the duvet covers only !!

Room Tip: Think top floor the best but you have to upgrade for these rooms !!

I booked this hotel as a present for my friends 40th through KGB Deals oh what a bargain £79 including dinner bed & breakfast & access to the spa ... Great value & the food was superb quality. I would definitely go back, great spa facilities too, staff were very friendly, English too!! Bedroom was also very comfortable with a lovely en suite, we were upgraded (without asking) as the hotel was busy & likely to be noisy (it wasn't, slept like logs). All in all, highly recommended.

We booked a two night stay with spabreaks breakfast on both mornings and three course meal first night and two treatments in the spa.room lovely and clean staff extremely friendly an courteous the problems that we ha were dealt with immediately,eg only signs up for breakfast said it ended at 1030 but weekdays its 930 it finishes which we didn't know when we told the manager they immediately apologised and we received lunch for the value of 20 pounds which was great, the only real problem is when we went to use the pool area it is full of children which as you can imagine is not very relaxing for people who booked a spa break so that was disappointing would visit again but during the week when children would be at school, its not the kind of place to take children.would recommend the spa the girls were great and treatments lovely.

Stayed her for daughters hen weekend. Hotel is in lovely grounds and has a Costa coffee shop, bar and restaurant. Spa facilities were good but very busy as was the gym. Double room was clean and comfortable but very warm even with no heating and the windows opened only slightly - safety measure I presume. The room had double bed, clean and comfy, a small soda table and dressing are. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board all supplied. Tea and coffee making facilities and extra towel and pillows in the room.
Staff were helpful and the breakfast was great as was the restaurant area and staff quick and efficient and most welcoming.
All in all, a step up from budget hotels with better surroundings but for not much extra cost.
A good base for a night out in Headingly as only 5 mins to the Center in a cab.

I recently stayed at the village in Headingley for one night, it was nice enough as far as hotels go i.e. check in was quick, the reception staff were helpful, the room was clean, it had a tv, kettle, hairdryer etc but there were a few downsides which were quite disappointing; our bed sheets had a tear in them, the room was quite hot and the heating system didn't seem to work when you tried to turn it down, even with the window open it didn't seem to make the temperature any more comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was none existant, it barely even trickled out of the shower head. I managed for the 1 night I stayed but had I been there any longer this would have been a big problem.
