My husband and I booked into this hotel for 1 night only.. (I don't think I could've managed another!!), we were visiting a friend in Leeds and this seemed quite central and fairly cheap. We were put in room 15 which is in the basement, we had a window which was outside the main door of the hotel and we had the bar room directly above us. As soon as we got there, we heard the pool balls knocking about and it sounded like the roof would cave in at any moment!! The en-suite was fairly clean apart from the shower which looked really dirty.

We spent the majority of the night outside of the hotel and got back to the hotel around 11pm. The hotel was very quiet and we headed straight off to bed. The bed was clean (which was good) but the room was extremely cold!!

At around half 2 in the morning, we were woken up by what sounded like 15 drunks outside of the hotel banging on the windows and doors, yelling to be let in (even though a code was provided to get in to the door), they were banging for around 10-15 minutes until someone let them in. After this, they headed into the bar area (which as I said is directly above our room) and they began stomping about and playing darts. This carried on for well over half an hour and it was so loud, it simply wasn't possible to sleep through it. In the end, I called the hotel number and woke up the manager (As I was too scared to go upstairs to get the "if you have any issues" number. He said he would sort it out.. And it took around 20 minutes more for them to leave the bar area.

Although I appreciate the manager doing this, it really wasn't a situation I would put myself in again and I truly believe that the hotel should only use the basement rooms for storage or something other than bedrooms because I don't believe anyone could sleep down there!!

Room Tip: If you really have to book this hotel, tell them you don't want a basement room!

After travelling to Leeds to work and after a very long shift arrived back at hotel , climbed into bed in my none ensuite room being assured no one would be on this floor ( basement) well as a women travelling on my own a drunk man managed to open my locked door and fall in my room , shaking in the early house this left me petrified to go back to sleep, as all came to light rooms were broken into and my door was shoulder barged open as were many others and after hearing them walk around and come in and out if the hotel they seemed content at causing destruction

Very dirty and if not close to headingley would surely not be in business. I think they use the fact they are close to headingley as a reason not to care what the hotel looks like. Room was very dirty, shower walls were very dirty, bed sheets had marks all over them, worn out furniture and holes in the ceiling. Awful

I have stayed at Boundary Hotel a few times now, and when ever I in Leeds visiting family and going to the rugby I always book into this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful with what ever you need. Price is very good and were not disappointed. Look forward to staying here again on the 21st Feb 2014. Would highly recommend the Boundary Hotel

We stayed at this hotel due to its location and price and were not disappointed. While it is an older style hotel, it has all you need. A huge breakfast for GBP3.50. Can't complain about that. A short walk to the restaurants in Headingly and bus at the door. Thanks to the friendly team.p

I just needed a brief stop-over between driving duties, and this place proved ideal. The exterior wasn't too inviting, and almost put me off checking in to be honest, but the room was all that I needed, spotlessly clean and warm with a comfortable bed. The lack of a chair was the only thing I could criticize really, but not exactly a hardship. The shared bathroom was occupied for over an hour, but can't really blame the hotel for that. The staff were efficient and business-like, if not overly enthusiastic for a venue that I would have though often attracted visitors to the sports ground to the rear, and there were certainly a few foreign visitors present at breakfast, I would have expected a little more banter from local staff, but they were certainly polite. I didn't have any issue with traffic noise commented on by other reviewers, and apart from a brief tiff between my neighbours - and I've had that elsewhere so no reflection on the hotel - I wasn't disturbed. The breakfast was excellent, one of the best I have ever had in a hotel, and more than value for money. A little way out of the city, and not really the sort of place you would want to spend the day watching the world go by, but for a stop-over and a good night's rest, definitely good value for money.
