We recently stayed here in a triple room when Lancashire played a T20 game against Yorkshire at Headingley. All the rooms we saw had a nameplate outside the room of former famous Yorkshire cricketers and was a nice touch.
The room itself was excellant having the usual large TV,fridge, tea making facilities and large shower/bathroom. What made the experience exceptional was the view which overlooks the ground. It was quite simply superb. The Lodge is within the grounds of the cricket club itself and has the East Stand directly beneath its balcony.Unfortunately for us on the day whilst we had a shared balcony it was made clear to us before our arrival that the balcony would not be open. If we wanted to watch the game we would have to look out through a large closed window or buy tickets seperately for the game.
Free parking and a room with lots of room. around there are lots of places tboth eat and drink within a short walk.

Free parking and views overlooking the cricket ground. Friendly receptionist on arrival and we were in the Darren Lehmann room. Comfortable beds, White Company toiletries and a superb power shower. For £55, room only, great value and would highly recommend.

This is a great 'room only' place to stay. Such fun and well priced. Lovely view of the pitch. Enjoyed watching the ground staff while having my morning coffee. Clean room, big comfortable bed, good bathroom. Lots of free parking. The staff at reception were very helpful. Great for all pubs and restaurants of Headingley, easy walk.

My sat nav struggled to find the hotel but once there the parking was secure, plentiful and yards from the entrance (and free). The receptionist, Wendy, was friendly and efficient. The room had an amazing view of the whole of the cricket ground. It was large with a nice seating area, huge comfy bed, tea making facilities, fridge, hair dryer and tv. The bathroom had fabulous power shower, fluffy white towels and was very clean. I didn't have any tea bags but Wendy popped some straight up as soon as I phoned her. There are no facilities such as bar, restaurant, spa but for a city break or business, it represents excellent value for money in my opinion. I had a continental breakfast delievered to my room and believe there is a cafe for a full breakfast if requested. If I had to fault the room, it did get very hot in there and I struggled to get enough air flow to cool the room through the small, high windows. For the majority of time in England, I am sure this would not be a problem!!

i stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend last year. we purchased the hotel late and got a good deal. the hotel was good value for money. there is ample safe parking at the hotel. the staff on reception were friendly and welcoming. our room had a lovely panoramic view of the stadium which was nice to wake up to. the location was good. bus stops across the road with numerous buses into leeds centre. by taxi it takes approximately 5 minutes to the university and maybe 6-7 minutes to the city centre. the room itself was comfortable with a double bed, tv, tea/coffee making facilities and the on suite was adequate with a large powerful shower and bath. we didnt have breakfast and therefore i cannot comment on food quality and service etc. overall i would recommend this hotel and i would happily stay here again.

Came here for my stag do on and thoroughly recommend. Great views from the windows (only drawback is you can't get out on to the balcony so have to watch the cricket behind glass). The price at £55 a night is a bargain and the beds are large and comfy. Really clean and our room was well stocked with the basics of tea, coffee and water. Would highly recommend and the staff are really helpful.

Room Tip: All rooms have a great view so go for the £55 ones - they were the same as the £75 rooms.

Lovely big clean rooms with fantastic views over the cricket ground. Only draw back is you have to watch the game from behind glass as you are not allowed onto the balcony seating outside your window , However great place to stay if you are a cricket fan. Had an allergic reaction to the shower gel provided in the bathroom so if you have sensitive skin I suggest you take your own. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definately stay here again
