Fiacri House is a family favorite of ours and has been since it's existence. The food is fantastic and you'll find it difficult to find anywhere in Ireland that matches the atmosphere, especially at Christmas. The attention to detail is extremely impressive with a large number of the crockery provided by the talented Nicholas Mosse.

Visited Fracri house this week and did not left disappointed.

Home made bread and scones on entry, beautiful onion soup to start followed by local roast beef, mash and season veg (and a great red wine gravy) and to finish off warm rhubarb crumble.

As some have said this is off the path of your normal restaurant but is well signposted and makes it a bit more special as you pull into the old farmhouse, inside plenty to soak in on the walls to admire while you wait.

Recommend Fracri house to anyone local, visiting Tipperary or passing through.

What a lovely surprise to finally get to Fiacri House, having missed out on getting there on a number of occasions. Quite honestly, I was really impressed from the moment I walked in the door. The modern exterior, the magnificent little nooks and crannies, with a lovely little bar to have a pre or post dinner drink.

We relaxed until our table was ready and starters of caesar salads arrived. The bread - was the best I have ever had. There were drop scones, still warm, with sundried tomatoes and were just delicious. Two other types, we didnt try or we may well be still there, wedged into the armchairs in the bar. Chicken in the caesar salad was lemony and very plentiful.

My main of salmon was mouth watering and vegetables were cooked to perfection with more herbs that I cannot name.

Pavlova dessert had a variety of berries and although, beautifully presented, I admit to turning it into Eton Mess. Fabulous. Coffee and hand made chocolates left us waddling to the bar to digest what was one of the best meals I have ever had.

Having described every morsel to my friends a few days later, they went themselves that very night.

Enda is the perfect host. Fiacri is warm and welcoming. It is a place that you can be quiet or join in the banter in the bar. The cooking is sublime. The staff are efficient but not formal. Perfect recipe for a wonderful night. I will be back.

Our party of 17 visited Fiacri House last night. Every aspect of my experience was second to none, from the professional informative website, confirmation phone call mid week with accurate directions, the manner in which individual dietary requirements were respected and catered for ... and that was before we even got there. On the night the reception, courteous staff, excellent (not rushed) service, relaxing decor and comfortable seating made for a very enjoyable night. The food was of a very high standard and plentiful (not the dainty portions you regularly find in restaurants of this standard). The only criticism was the garlic potatoes - didn't like these at all. Many thanks Enda and Eilis.
