We staid for one night on our way back from Sorrento. Not the best looking hotel from the outside but once inside we were quite suprised. Having read the other reviews we were concerned about staying here. Evening meal was good. Breakfast was continental with a nice choice. Our room was not on the large side but was ok for an overnight stay.

We stayed here overnight with a Leger Holidays Christmas-New Year tour. The rooms are small and the bar area even smaller. For a whole coach of people, this had seats for ten at the most. Service at the bar was good and the drinks remarkably cheap. The room was warm and comfortable and breakfast was quite extensive.

For anyone wishing to visit Como town and lake, this is not at all suitable. It is a long way from either and very little of either is visible from any part of the hotel. On a hill, the main reception is downstairs, apparently. Rooms are upstairs, accessed from the outside via a metal covered bridge. Overall, it is a long and thin hotel, a little strange.

Everything about this hotel is sad, we had the cold reception on arrival, the rooms were clean but dark, the food was a disgrace my partners main course comprised of three thin slices of cheese on the plate and a scoop of fennel on another plate my own was a one egg omelette with the obligatory scoop of fennel which everyone was given, when the manageress came around for payment of drinks she was very aggresive in her attitude probably because she expected complaints about the food, whatever reason you need a hotel in this area which by the way is nowhere near Lake Como do not use this one.

We booked a Double Room for 2 persons for one week. Room was very small for 2 people, closets did not provide enough space, air condition available and working, TV too. Cleanliness was ok, fresh towels every day.
Building is presently under construction, therefore a lot of noise from early morning on. Walls are not very thick, so you hear every single word from the neighburing room.
Breakfast was disgusting, buffet offers only very limited choice of low quality food, no eggs nor vegetables. Coffee, milk and hot water come out of brown plastic canisters. While having our breakfast at 9:00 a.m. the waiters were moving around tables and chairs, having constantly and loud chats across the dining room, giving us the impression we are disturbing their routine.
At the little bar we were charged different prices everytime for the same order (2 espressi & 2 grappe), ranging from 7,40€ to 11,80€. Usual guest seemed to be young foreign workers, so we experienced a lot of door slamming, loud discussions on the floor etc even late in the night.
If you are a tourist and want to spend some leasurable days at Lake Como, this is not the place you can have relaxing ambience.
