“Old noisy hotel, but good location and price.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2013

The hotel was located next to a regional way and easy to find. The hotel staff is ok. The hotel and the room are very old, looks like we are back in the time. The sanitair was old, but clean. The shower was broken, so we need to hold the shower. The rooms are very noisy, we could hear everybody walking/running around at the first floor (our room was on ground floor). Also it was very noisy because the room was near the receiption and there is also a bar. The diner which was included, was pretty good. The breakfast which was included was a bit poor, it was a buffet.

I do not know where to start about this place. A;; I can say is it is not 1 star not half a star not even star rated at all:
The place must have been great in its hey day but it is all over now.
The rooms are awful and falling apart. Some have micro 14inch LCD tv's in them some have CRT's which goes back to the ancient times of this hotel.
Bathrooms were falling apart tiles broken all over the place, paint blistering on the walls.
The corridors stank of smoking all over the place. open the doors and the room filled up with smoke. Shut the door open the window as the air con did not work. Open the door again the room stank.
Food was awful awful no love and in it and awful.
Breakfast was ok but they stood over you by the coffee machine like the gestapo.
This place makes most of its money by cheap and nasty coach holiday firms as an overnight stopover. £1,300 for a 14 day Gold Tour coming to this place you are going to be easily pleased or very sore.
You cant see Lake Como unless you have a nuclear powered telescope its about 10 miles away, so the view is meaningless.
You could be anywhere.
There is no hospitality they know you are there for the night so its ching ching for them a 1 minute phone call to England was nearly £2.
Please do yourself a favour dont go there if its on a coach tour itinerary then get them to change or take them to the cleaners over it when you get back to england i am sorry the place is awful:

Room Tip: listen to the reports and stay away its a shambles

Used by cheap and nasty UK based coach holiday companies and dont you know it?
Awful place probably was great once in its heyday, buy oh wow what a place it has turned into now.
If you go there with any expectations be warned you will be disappointed.
The rooms were falling apart and awful broken tiles, blister paint everywhere.
The hall ways stank of smoking!!
The food is the worst you will eat but when youre starving its all you are going to get.
The bar area is the nice bit but then you will pay for your drinks.
The beds are awful.
You wont get any sleep or afterwards with the memories of the place.
It is nowhere near Lake Como literally miles away so dont be fooled.
Not worth more than £50 a night half board. Very sad indeed.

Room Tip: Stay away is the simple answer

We stayed at this hotel while on a Shearings coach holiday. The rooms are very small, but clean & our tv worked fine. Twin beds, hanging space, one table & chair - no room for bedside tables, no other furniture & no space to put cases. It is like a very basic 2* hotel. The bathroom was functional, but the shower was tiny & the doors did not close properly so leaked on the floor. Air conditioning was not working, and we had a lot of traffic noise through the open window. Our 3 course set dinner was not bad and included wine which was nice. Breakfast was adequate. It is several miles from Como town in the outskirts with nothing in the vicinity. Access for coaches is very difficult.

Only stayed one night, thank goodness. Our room had mould on the walls, and had a very poor outlook. It was not over clean either.
The food was dreadful and the place a disaster. Service non-existant. Poor location. Can't think of a single good thing to say about it. Staff indifferent. Never again. My advice would be definitely don't stay here.

Room Tip: Stay away.

Took a tour holiday with LEGER (Silver Service), stayed two nights, one night going out and one night on the return. Rooms OK but a bit dated, poor service in the bar. Dinner was rubbish and breakfast was poor. The BIG problem was that this hotel is used by a company that transports Italian school children on holiday. On both nights the hotel was half full with very noisey teenagers who ran around banging and crashing untill the early hours and then after only a couple of hours sleep they were up again and it sounded like world war three had started. Stay at this hotel at your peril.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel - any other hotel will be better than this.
