This hotel was not very helpful when we stayed there in july 2013, the air con was not working in any rooms, we were travelling with Leger. Having stayed there before when travelling with leger, we were very disappointed with the food and service overall ,as the place seems to have gone down hill in the last few years. all our fellow travellers were complaining about the air con not working and not being able to sleep because of the heat in the rooms. When we were having our evening meal (which was not very good, just a piece of chicken and potatoes, no veg or grave) we had a thunder storm ( not the hotels fault) but the rain running down the inside walls of the dining room was.

We stayed here when on a Shearings Grand Tourer Holiday to Italy last week.
The hotel is very tired and falling to pieces. It was 35 degrees but the whole of the 2nd floor had no air conditioning.
The rooms could alsu benefit from a good clean. The bits you could see had been done but there was lots of dust and muck in the out of site places.
There was no choices of food and what was provided was only just acceptable.

We didnt realise how bad this place was until after we'd booked otherwise we'd have given it a miss

Ideally it deserves a zero star rating but you cant do it

We stayed here for one night while on a Leger trip round the Balkans, and have stayed here once before while on a coach trip. I can only say that I don't want to stay here ever again, even if they pay me to.

The room was very basic, with incredibly low beds. I have mobility problems, and it was difficult to get up off the bed once you were on it. The bedroom itself was OK for size, and had a number of sockets for us to use (needed by me). But the beds were not only low -- they were very uncomfortable. For the first time I can remember, I had back ache most of the next day. The bathroom was OK, though the toilet seat did like to move around! The other major problem with the room was the air conditioning (yes, the weather was hot!), which didn't work, leaving us very uncomfortable.

The evening meal was very poor. We had a starter of pasta, which was very tasty. But then the main course came, which was pretty poor, followed by a dessert, which was at least as poor. The roll we were given was interesting, as it could really have been used as a cricket ball. The only good thing was that we had an included bottle of wine between 4, and that was pleasant.

Breakfast the following morning wasn't as bad as the dinner, but still not good.

We were really glad to get out of there!

2nd time we have stayed at this hotel, not by choice, and things have not improved.

Rooms were very, very hot.Windows would not open and the air-conditioning was broken.
It will be repaired next week.
Lifts to rooms broken. Will be repaired next week.
Food very basic. Will be better next week.

Hotel stairs to the bedrooms are on the outside of the building. (Will be inside------?)

To top all this the hotel is in the middle of nowhere
.
However! it does have a great view from an upper bar balcony. If you can get up there
and get a seat.

Room Tip: Don't know if there is one.

This was a truly awful hotel. bad from start to finish. We stayed on the way back from Italy and was the only bad Hotel in a 2 1/2 week stay in Italy and france and Switzerland.
This is a horrible place.
On the plus side to be fair, I will say it was well placed, with fantastic views over the mountains and lake. And there was a big outside patio with lovely views.
We did not get that though from our room. we got a horrible, pokey run down room, tiles falling off, horrible smell and a view of a stone wall and car park. Someone was kind enough to swap with us, and we then did at least get a room with a fabulous view. but again the bathroom was disgusting, dirty, and the room broken and filthy. Ghastly. But all could be forgiven if the staff were nice.
They were not.
The reception staff and barman were very unpleasant. Ill mannered and disinterested.
They were quite the rudest staff I have ever encountered. In fact I was ignored twice, then laughed at. They were unhelpful, looked down their noses at us, were rude, patronising and condescending. Breakfast was inedible, poor choice and foul. In fact disgusting.
This was a truly horrible experience.
Drive on by and do not stop. EVER.

The hotel was located next to a regional way and easy to find. The hotel staff is ok. The hotel and the room are very old, looks like we are back in the time. The sanitair was old, but clean. The shower was broken, so we need to hold the shower. The rooms are very noisy, we could hear everybody walking/running around at the first floor (our room was on ground floor). Also it was very noisy because the room was near the receiption and there is also a bar. The diner which was included, was pretty good. The breakfast which was included was a bit poor, it was a buffet.

I do not know where to start about this place. A;; I can say is it is not 1 star not half a star not even star rated at all:
The place must have been great in its hey day but it is all over now.
The rooms are awful and falling apart. Some have micro 14inch LCD tv's in them some have CRT's which goes back to the ancient times of this hotel.
Bathrooms were falling apart tiles broken all over the place, paint blistering on the walls.
The corridors stank of smoking all over the place. open the doors and the room filled up with smoke. Shut the door open the window as the air con did not work. Open the door again the room stank.
Food was awful awful no love and in it and awful.
Breakfast was ok but they stood over you by the coffee machine like the gestapo.
This place makes most of its money by cheap and nasty coach holiday firms as an overnight stopover. £1,300 for a 14 day Gold Tour coming to this place you are going to be easily pleased or very sore.
You cant see Lake Como unless you have a nuclear powered telescope its about 10 miles away, so the view is meaningless.
You could be anywhere.
There is no hospitality they know you are there for the night so its ching ching for them a 1 minute phone call to England was nearly £2.
Please do yourself a favour dont go there if its on a coach tour itinerary then get them to change or take them to the cleaners over it when you get back to england i am sorry the place is awful:

Room Tip: listen to the reports and stay away its a shambles
