“Sooo goood”

Very good, very italian, beautiful food for reasonable price with nice people working there. It seems like family business and you can feel it in the food.

“Very good, real Italian food”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Small restaurant, recommanded by our agriturismo. Very friendly family who runs the restaurant, Italian food prepared with local products. Better to make a reservation, limited places.

“Warm, family rum, superb”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 via mobile

We've been going to Pasticceria Ferretti for several years now. In fact, every time we visit the area we make a point of eating there either at our arrival or farewell dinner. We absolutely love it. Lorella treats us like family with small gifts for the girls (4,7,10 yo) a hug and kiss for us every time. Her husband Andrea is the magician in the kitchen. Their pizzas are excellent, the cecina the best in the area, and their locally sourced food is organic, fresh and superbly prepared. The fare is simple but very Tuscan, prepared with care, and always with an original twist. Save room for dessert, which is amazing, and take some pastries home for the next morning's breakfast. And to make it even more perfect, they'll serve you dinner as early as 5-6 pm, a near-miracle for families with young children) dining in Italy!

“So Italian, So Tuscan, So Good!”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

The three "So" I've put in the title clearly indicate my feelings for this place.
The location is wonderful, in the hearth of the beautiful hilly village of Peccioli in the province of Pisa, Tuscany.

The short walk you will cover to reach "Ferretti" will prepare your senses to the experience: nice and sweet Tuscan hills, old stones and tiles, wonderful views, and, of course, a nice and old church....everything is leaving the feeling that the place is peaceful and, luckily, not yet invaded by tourists and cheap souvenirs... still a 'true' place.

Well, renowned "Ferretti" is there, right in front of the church, a small family-managed pastry shop and restaurant ready to offer a warm welcome and fantastic sweet breakfast with cakes, croissants, 'pezzi dolci', "sweet things" , as simply named, mille-feulle dough filled with chocolate, or rice-custard or apple compote, then nice cappuccinos, short 'ristretto' italian coffees, and many other pastries that taste as good as they look.

The annexed small restaurant then is very nicely decorated and it offers really good food.

Today I had an aperitif with "cinta Senese ham" and home-made crunchy spelt crackers; as main: thin slices of beef (so called 'tagliata' with fresh wild rucola salad and cherry tomato with family olive oil and balsamic vinegar, a small piece of cured sheep cheese and a sweet Cassata! Yummie!

Important note: The restaurant was full and quite all the clients were from Peccioli.... undoubtedly good sign!

What to say more.....Definitively so Italian, so Tuscan, so good! Strongly advised!

“Inconsistent service and meal quality”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

We visited the restaurant two days ago and everything was near perfect. The owner took our order and after a small delay they bring our salads. Then, after an hour they bring us the meals, one of them was wrong, but the main point was that we enjoyed every single bite. Everything was very, very delicious. The desert exceeded our expectations. The bill was the final pleasant surprise.
Today we visited the restaurant again with our friends, because of our recommendations. Despite the restaurant was nearly empty, we had to wait a lot of time for everything. We ordered the same salads, as last time, but today they look different, because the products were different and less than before. They forgot half of the order and we had to return one of main courses, because it was not decently prepared. They were very kind and gave us a small gift - croissants for the morning, but we left the restaurant very disappointed. Probably we will not visit this restaurant again.
