The restaurant and hotel were only open for weekends when we were in the area (September) so we planned a walk around having drink or lunch there.
Many places we came across in the Aosta Valley only serve lunch until 2pm but we arrived at 2.30pm expecting we would only be able to have a drink but they were happy to serve us. We both had spinach tagliatelle with wild boar sauce followed by chestnuts with cream and chocolate sauce. It was still warm so we sat on the terrace enjoying the views of the surrounding mountains.
The waiter told us about snow shoe walking from the hotel in the winter which sounds very tempting.
The hotel and restaurant has the Saveurs de val d'Aosta accreditation which means it provides typical local cuisine to a particular standard.
