“Aweful location”

Staff was really nice, but this is pretty much it.
Firstly - the hotel is terribly located. If you look at the map it seems close to Naples port, but it actually takes almost an hour by car.
Secondly - furniture and bed was old ang generally of a very bad quality. I had problems with my back and neck.
Thirdly - for some reason the water in the shower was salty (just like if it was taken from the sea).

You will need a car. You will need a GPS. And you will need to get there soon.
Because this hotel is shortly to be upgraded by a new owner who appreciates the potential. Until that happens, it represents great value. With a stunning view of the Bay of Naples, a really friendly and competent staff, and very good recreational facilities, this hotel is no deal - its a steal.
There is plenty to see around Bacoli, and the ancient Romans agreed. It is within easy travelling distance of Naples, allowing one to dart in to see the National Archaeological Museum, and then withdraw from the most aggressive drivers on earth. The ferry to Ischia is 25 minutes away, driving.

Weather permitting, eat on the patio. You may not need wine, the view is sufficiently intoxicating.
And remember that Google Maps will intone "You have reached your destination" about 100 metres too soon.
The rooms are clean, adequate, but 1970's. The plumbing fittings hark back to a time when metal prices allowed really chunky taps. But the majolica floor tiles are gorgeous..........

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the courtyard and there was some noise, but well within tolerable limits. After...

Situated on a high peninsular with what must be some of the best views of the Bay of Naples, the hotel is quiet and secluded with no passing traffic noise (just the boats going in and out from the Port)
The hotel is clean and comfortable with good facilities and a restaurant that serves a good selection of dishes from the local area. The staff are friendly and helpful but I must single out Lorodana for always greeting you with a smile and making you feel welcome even after a long days traveling and arriving late at night.
If you’re feeling like a little exercise go through the road tunnel towards the lighthouse you can take the footpath over the hill on the way back can be slippery after rain

A lovely hotel at the top of a hill!! The walk down to the town is fine, but the walk back is hard if you are not fit! We had a nice room with a view across the bay, clean and tidy and I slept well.
Breakfast was OK,but the young waitress was rushed of her feet going back and forth getting teas, coffee, and milk, they need a help yourself facility, The swimming pool was great, snacks available, a few rules, which was a bit annoying, you had to wear a hat to go under the water etc, the rules should have been written down somewhere so we don't break them!!
We had a pizza meal at a restaurant further up the hill, which was great and the owner will come and collect you in his 4x4! just ask at reception. There were about 25 in our group and we all had a wonderful time, The wedding was great, very well organized by the hotel, one complaint, too much food! it just kept coming, after the third course, the plates of food were going back untouched, a great waste.
All in all, a fabulous four day stay.

Room Tip: Some rooms look over the bay

great opportunity to breathe well out of Napoli traffic jams. outstanding location with landscape, seaview and a swimming pool with enthusiatic and flexible animation team (especially for volleyball) and good cooking too. Private walk to a small private beach (looks like a movie set between the rocks).Despite very romantic, kids had a lot of fun, especially at the swimming pool.

Breathtaking views, we had our wedding reception there and we also stayed there with friends and family. The rooms were basic, though clean and the views were fantastic really nice fresh air during summer. Its on a peninsula so sea views everwhere. Theres a really nice swimming pool and volleyball grassy bit, kids loved it. Also a nice secluded beach for hotel residents on the side of a cliff, You get to it through a really nice restaurant with great sea food. Theres also a little agroturismo at top of the hill that'll do you a nice dinner as well.
The town is a 20-30 minute walk down the hill and hotel can be a bit isolated, but the staff were very helpful and organised some transport/taxi.
Our reception was great, food was great as expected from Italy!
People very friendly and accommodating.
Only problem was getting cash in town because most of the banks didn't do international cards, or take cards, the hotel takes cards though.
Good points -
views, views and the views!
Friendly staff
Nice pool and beach
Nice little restaurant and agroturismo round the corner

Bad points
Can be a bit isolated from the town and hard to get into town
rooms a bit basic, its got telly air-con and wi-fi though.

The big question is: do you want to be in Bacoli? We wanted to avoid Naples because of the chaos. If you still want to be in the area your choices are limited... we had been to Amalfi Coast and Capri... not much to choose from in the comfort class in Pozzuoli... it was a process of elimination.
We were able to do a day trip to Procida but it was an effort. Same for our special dinner in Quarto.
Having said all this: Bacoli can work and the Cala Moresca is just fine. The folks here really try.
Good breakfast. I'd go into Bacoli beach or harbor for the other meals.
Approaching the hotel by car is an adventure that could strain some marriages.
The room and view were fine. Nice and Quiet.

Room Tip: higher up for the views.
