Starting a couple years ago we have been spending our holidays hiking in the mountains with our two sons(age 10,15). This was our first trip to the Pyrenees. Broto turned out to be a great location from where you could without any hurry go on daily trips to the Ordessa national park as well as the other nearby valleys. Although if you are planning on visiting other valleys you will be facing an hour of car driving through twisty roads. We spent two weeks in Broto at the end of June 2016 and during this time we managed to complete both short and longer routes.
The apartment that we lived in was great in terms of it's location in Broto, not even 50m away from the closest groacery store, where you buy a warm and fresh baguette every morning.
The apartment was also very close to the heart of the village, only a few minutes walk to the local restaurants, and one block away from the apartment lies the local swimming pool!
All the nearby surroundings are very calm and you can hear the river Ara much clearer than the rather tiny traffic on the nearby road.
Now talking about the apartment itself we chose to live in the rustical Casa Juan, with wooden embers supporting the roof. The interior of the building corresponds with it's exterior and at the same time its fully functional allowing you to rest and relax. Señora Carmen keeps the apartment in a very good condition, always clean and tidy, just like the nearby surroundings.
Señora Carmen herself is a very kind and open person and at the same time very discrete.
We really recommend this location to anybody who likes active resting as well as comfort in a nearly homelike environment.

We stayed at a wonderful apartment in Casa Juaneta, which has been very spacious, well equipped and clean. From its windows, you can see a breathtaking view of the Ordesa Pyrenan landscape. Having WiFi connection and free parking, and well maintained facilities added to the convenience.
Excellent location 10 minute drive away from the entrance to Ordesa national park, mini-market, restaurant and tourist information very close.
Many thanks to Carmen, the host, who has been cordial, responsive and helpful throughout our stay. It’s been a pleasure!
