Travveled with husband and teenage daughter.
Excellent communication and help from the owners before and during holiday. Warm welcome on arrival. We did take a couple of wrong turns as the directions could be a little better.
Very clean property and extremely well equipped. Lots of space and fantastic balcony area to sit out. Off road parking. Not a property for anyone with mobility problems as the bathroom is on the ground floor and there are two flights of stairs - helps to exercise off the wine and BBQs though!
We were amazed at how quiet the village is, the only thing to wake you up in the morning was the smell of baking bread from the local bakery and the birds!! No traffic noise.
Cafes, deli, bakery, pubs and restaurants in the village and only a short drive to large supermarket and towns.
In a few minutes you can walk from the property down to the banks of the Mosel - take a rug, a book and a bottle of local wine to enjoy the sun and watch the world sail by.
Zell was a must to visit and they had a fantastic wine festival when we arrived (Highly recommend the Engel vitner in the town).
Burg Eltz was a lovely castle to visit. Eating out was very reasonable and the food/drink at the supermarket was extremely cheap.
If I had to pick any faults it was the BBQ chimney did not extract the smoke and you got a little choked up with the smoke under the awning and no apron/oven gloves supplied - not really anything to complain about!
NB.There is very limited WiFi access throughout Germany but there is an internet cafe in Zell
We will definately be going back to this property.
