We booked this holiday a few days before we went. I was a bit disappointed after reading some of the reviews on trip advisor before we went as we were offered a better hotel by thomsons for the same money, we went back down to thomsons to see if they could change it but it was too late. We were pleasantly surprised when we got there, great room over looking the sea The weather was very hot much too hot for us as we spent five days under the umbrella. There was problem with the sun beds so long as you get your towel out by 8 o' clock, you have to pay to have your beach towels. The fridge & safe are also chargeable. Food great, friendly staff everywhere nice & clean. Entertainment in the day very poor, evening shows just about watchable. Would we return no.

Room Tip: You pay your money & you take a chance

Just got back from the Suite Princess we had a great holiday First the good bits, quick check in very large room always kept clean nice balcony with two sun beds, table & chairs. Our room number was 4014,free water at reception. The food was some of the best we have had on holiday. The staff very friendly, its nice to sit outside of an evening & have a beer, most of the guest were in their 60s always willing to have a chat. Now the bad bits, over an hour transfer, you had to pay for your fridge & safe & 1.50 euro to change your beach towel what a rip off They say they are trying to save water. Entertainment just about watchable if you can get a good seat. Sun beds, to get the best ones you have to be out just after 8 o' clock. The sun dose not come onto the sun beds until 9.30 that's over looking the sea, middle sun beds 10ish, beds by hotel 1ish it was very hot most days 65c in full sun. One deep pool cold, one pool heated, not much to do in the day. The entertainment team were useless never asked us to do anything, water gym only once while were there. You can not swim in the pools until 10 o' clock. Lunch is served in the Tapas bar, there are various trips out, I felt a bit isolated there as there are no good walks. Overall we enjoyed our stay, everybody friendly. We would not return to this hotel for the bad points.

Room Tip: All rooms look over the sea ask if you want high or low

Just back from the Suite Princess, and we did not encounter the issues raised in previous reviews.

No problems with sun beds, they are being reserved but no worse than anywhere else and we never struggled to get a bed at any time.

Food good both in choice and quality for an all inclusive, staff excellent, hotel cleanliness very good.

Drinks on grey bands are the usual for an all inclusive in this price range, I would not recommend upgrading as I think your additional money can be better spent outside the hotel.

Not a lot around the hotel but easy and cheap to get out and about, Puerto Mogan lovely with nice beach and restaurants.

The rooms are dated, but are huge and spotless, our one problem was a very uncomfortable bed.

Overall excellent value for money, hotel trying very hard, would recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms sea facing with excellent views

We spent a week here 19th-26th April 2014. It was excellent in every way: hotel: modern, clean, well laid out; suite: again modern, clean, well laid out - slept like a baby! Food in all the restaurants was varied and of good quality... It's been 15 years since we had been to Gran Canaria - we will definitely return to this hotel again!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks 7th - 21st April 2014, from the minute we arrived everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Booking in at the reception was quick and easy. We had a room right up the top on the 9th floor room 9035, the room/suite was very clean and spacious and had a beautiful view over the bay. We have never stayed at a hotel that was so friendly, Juan in charge of entertainment was an absolute hoot, the waiting staff particularly Pepe and Sergio were very attentive and welcoming. The food was great but after 2 weeks I'd got bored with it. We upgraded which I was glad of as we got all the international brands of drinks and not the local. There was plenty to do if you wanted and all the entertainment staff were fabulous especially the 2 lovely dutch girls there on their college courses Rosanne Los and Roxanne Truman they were just really charming and friendly and really looked out for us all the time. I don't like to return to any hotel usually, but I would not hesitate in re-visiting Suite Princess and of course the added bonus was that it is an adult hotel only, so no children running riot. We saw some superb entertainment acts all very varied and none repeated, but you had to get a seat fairly early to get a good view as in the salon as there were pillars in the way of a lot of the seats. We also saw the most fantastic sunsets most nights and everyone of them different, the most beautiful colours. Had a fab time and met for lovely people. Last but not least the Thomson staff had their own office in the hotel and were on hand most of the time. Most impressed. impressed

Room Tip: ALL rooms are see view, but the higher rooms you can see more they go up to floor 9.

Just returned from a very relaxing week at the Suite Princess.

First few days we must have been the youngest there (42 ) !! Slightly worried it was going to be like that for the whole week but towards the end a mixture of ages could be seen !! This was our first holiday without children and I suppose as an adult only hotel ( which we wanted) the lack of under 50's were scarce.

I would agree with the entertainment review, it wasn't great. Most people decided to leave the main bar after the live entertainment ( around 10.30) which left a handful of people wanting to waltz/tango/chachacha ? to 60's music. by midnight it was lights out see you tomorrow morning !

Room 3006 had a great view across the beach and was nice and private. If you looked at the hotel from the swimming pool side our room was furthest right, around towards the high rocks. I can imagine in summer the small water park which is on the left of the hotel would be noisy so this room is far enough away not to worry. You could sit or lay on your large balcony watching the boats come and go out at sea. The food I would say was the best part of the holiday. The variety and quality was great, if you were a fussy eater you would find something to eat and enjoy. The drinks however was a different tale. We didn't upgrade to premium drinks due to being "light" drinkers we thought this would be a waste of money. During the day the freedom of free soft drinks, house wine and beer was exceptional, however in the evening when we decided to have an alcoholic drink or two or three ( vodka/ barcardi) it just didn't hit the spot at all. It's not as though we wanted to fall about blind drunk but it just didn't make an impact. One evening the waiter poured us each a premium brand drink in error and straight away we could tell the difference ! So really what I'm saying is get an upgrade if you like your drink, if your not worried and want to wake up every morning without a hangover don't upgrade !!

Certainly recommend having a taxi each way from the airport. Not happy that we needed to pay for the room safe at 12 euros a week. With all inclusive I would have thought this was part of package.

Not enough sun beds around pool and "reserve your sun bed at sun rise with your towel" was also prevalent even though the hotel literature condemned the action. We just stayed on the balcony or went down onto the beach which was lovely but had to pay 9 euros for 2 beds and brolly.

Just returned from the hotel last night. From start to finish the whole holiday was great. The all inclusive hotel is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, some are very funny. The food throughout the week was varied and catered for all tastes. There is also a themed restaurant that you prebook that is worth doing.
My wife and I stayed in a standard suite and opted not to upgrade. What I could make out the only advantage the upgrade gives is the wine is provided by the bottle rather than the wine taps and spirits are braded rather than local spirits (local whiskey and gin is fine).
The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided.
We specifically chose this hotel as it is children free and located in a quiet resort, if you want lively night life then you would have to travel to Porto Rico which is a 10 minute taxi ride, you also have Port Mogan which is a 10 minute ride (there is also a free hotel bus).
For a relaxing quiet holiday in the lovely sun I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors for great views and sunsets.
