I don't normally review our holidays and I'm having previously worked in the travel industry I'm aware of the holiday makers that complain about anything and everything, so I will be as honest as I possibly can and give both pros and cons.
We are a family of five three children a three year old, a five year old, and an 11 year old.
We have just returned from a fortnights stay in tourito.
We travelled with jet 2 as a package deal.
The food to begin with was as expected from an all inclusive resort very samey but after a couple of days it started to make us sick, the restaurant is heaving and really noisy waiting on staff are efficient but found the chefs to be rather rude. Food was generally served cold. Our family room was lovely on the third floor with a nice sea view with a balcony which you get the sun on until it sets (this goes for most rooms I think).
The pool area was manic so many people so little room! I found it difficult to keep an eye on my toddler as there where just so many children there! My 11 year old enjoyed it as he made lots of new friends. You struggle to get a sunbed unless your up with the lark.
My four year old daughter enjoyed the kids clubs during the day of which there are two, one in the morning, one in the afternoon.
The entertainment was great both by the animation team and outside entertainers, but again very busy and there was always a struggle for seating (even more so as other hotels in the resort use the same area).
The waterpark is great for kids and adults alike, it is salt water but that didn't bother us to much.
We went Into mogan and Puerto Rico as we hired a car but there are bus services and taxis for around €10. I would recommend the pirate ship excursion from Puerto Rico we really enjoyed it.
The beach is volcanic the first day we went the water was quite choppy and there was lots of jellyfish but the second time seemed more calm and less jellyfish, Daddy and the older kids went out on jet skis and loved it. We also went to mogan and Puerto Rico's beaches white sand and the waters pretty clean but there was a lot of rubbish floating around (toilet paper and sanitary items) so wasn't too nice.
The weather was fab very hot all of the two weeks.
We had use of the sister hotel opposite once we started using their facilities we only went back to lago to sleep, their food was the same but cooked and presented a lot better their restaurant was lovely and relaxed with a lovely outdoor seating area. Their pool area was also a lot quiter with a much better toddler pool away from the big pool. We only had use of this hotel as we had VIP wristbands as we booked over a year ago. The general feeling for ourselves ad people we met there was that we felt a bit trapped at the resort surrounded by cliffs there is no tow you can just take a walk into.
