I recently went to stay in Vecindario at the Atico apartment owner by Kay. I stayed at the property for five nights with my girlfriend and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. The apartment is located around ten to fivteen minutes drive from the airport. It's a bit difficult to find at first as all the streets close to the property are a maze of one way streets. The map provided by Kay could be better, but just look for the local Spa to find the property. The apartment has a sofa bed in, that has a fold out double mattress. The bedding provided isn't great so I would reccomened bringing a pillow. The room has a television but all channels are in German. Vecindario is a cute Spanish town that is away from tourist areas. There is a direct road out the back of the town that leads directly to mountains such as Roque Nublo, a fantastic sight. I would highly recommend renting a car if staying at this property as sights are quite a drive, albeit a visually stunning one. I would advice not renting with Gold Car unless you know about the extra 100euros you have to pay with roughly, mainly for petrol and taxes. The room is very cheap and would recommend young travellers visiting or anyone on a budget. The outside terrace is cute and relaxing. The town of Vecindario has a shopping mall which includes a good variety of shops. Eating out wise there isn't a great option of restaurants, but does have good cafés which sell nice juice and fresh bread. I would a drive to Puerto de Morgan at the southern most point of the motorway for nice restaurants.
