“Great for an over night stay”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Attending a friends wedding just a short walk away, we decided to stay rather than book a cab home. Excellent large and comfy room, friendly and helpful staff and a fab breakfast the next morning with lots of choice - very handy for our slight hangovers! The only slight negative, was that our ensuite was very very small, with the wash hand basin being accomodated in the main bedroom as no space in the ensuite - but really didn't affect our stay, as hardly in room, if you were staying for longer or wanted to get ready to go out, it may be an idea to request a room with a larger ensuite. Would definitely recommend based on our experience.

Stayed two nights. Good service, good food and good value. Recommended. Arrived a little after 9pm on the first night but advised them beforehand and they very kindly sorted food etc out. Awesome breakfasts!

Stayed here for one night and thought this was excellent value. Good clean room, comfy bed with facilities. Good standard evening meal. Very nice breakfast. Very friendly staff and good service. Ideal location for visiting area; we visited Chartwell one day and another two other National Trust places. Would recommend if you want to visit this area.

We stayed 29/04/14 for one night staff very friendly and nice room but my wife had the duck which was not very good and they changed it and the second lot was the same. my meal was ok even if the steak was a bit on the small size. I think the chef thinks he is in a posh restuarant not a small hotel in Kent.

Had a wonderful stay at The Bull using a Travelzoo voucher. Had a nice room, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Our evening meal was very good and the service from the staff could not be faulted. I would highly recommend this, especially for the amount we paid, wonderful value.

Lovely proportioned rooms, good facilities. The bathroom was spacious and modern and the shower lovely. Had a good nights sleep in this quirky room, with its solid wood floors and comfortable bed. Staff friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was extensive and well cooked, would recommend the full English, lovely bacon and scrambled eggs.

Room Tip: Good for an upgrade, it is worth the extra small amount.

My wife and I stayed here on a return visit to Wrotham where we once lived and chose the Bull for convenience, big mistake.
On booking by telephone with the manager Chris I asked if there were king-sized beds available and was told there were.
On arrival we found that the room was equipped with only a double bed, which later was proven to be extremely uncomfortable.
I did ask on seeing the room but was told that they were the biggest beds in the house. My wife gave up halfway through the night and slept on the sofa, which
we were blessed to have in the room. We would have gone elsewhere immediately but we had arranged to meet a friend there and were unable to cancel it.
Another major problem with the room was an automatic light and extractor in the bathroom which would of course wake the dead, we were told that
all hotels are like that now!, excuse me, but NOT.
Food and service in the restaurant was below standard for our evening meal and breakfast was marked by precooked and then rewarmed sausage, overcooked bacon
and almost raw undercooked tomato.
We had booked for two nights but felt unable to endure another night it that same room and left. But we had to pay for the two nights despite being unhappy
and disgruntled.
So be Warned when you book your special wedding arrangements here.
