Hacienda de San Rafael
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 7 October 2013

We hosted our wedding weekend at the Hacienda. We also stayed at the Hacienda a few months earlier for a long weekend. On both occasions, the service, food, staff and venue were impeccable. This place literally has something magical about it. We stayed in one of the Casitas which was beautiful - we also viewed all the other rooms (since a lot of guests stayed at the Hacienda) and each room was different but very beautiful.

In terms of the wedding, we would not have changed a thing. The Friday BBQ and jazz band was incredible. Saturday's ceremony, jamon cutter and tapas, gypsy guitarist, dinner, DJ, churros, midnight soup, jaegerbomb bar, luna bar and pool party were all outstanding. The finishing touches (lanterns, fairy lights, flowers, buttonholes, champagne in our room, table decorations, welcome notes, petals etc.) made the wedding beautiful and memorable.

Thanks must go to all of the talented Hacienda team - Anthony, Patrick, Gerry, Isabel, Lea, Soledad, Chris, Salah, Juani and the rest of the staff. See you for ALL our wedding anniversaries.

Room Tip: Literally every room is beautiful. If you really want to spoil yourself, book a casita.

Recent attended my sister's wedding here last week. I stayed three days and throughly enjoyed the whole experience. The only regret I had was not staying for longer. The best place to relax the pools are clean and the whole place is kept very clean and tidy.Nothing was too much bother and Jerry she always went the extra mile. The staff made you feel special and nothing was ever too much trouble. The wedding was certainly a day to remember and I plan to be back.

Well done guys!!!! Top marks

Room Tip: All the rooms in the main court yard are lovely all are very different although if you struggle with...

Ideally positioned between Seville and the coast allowing you to visit both, although, once arrived it's hard to go out for a day or even half a day. This Hacienda is so great that you rather prefer to stay in, relax by the pool, or walk around. It's not only beautiful but also the service is just top (imagine laying by the pool having your own ventilator to cool down if you don't swim for a minute, and somebody coming by every 30 mins to bring you fresh water...).
Room was fantastic, great dinners outside, 3 swimming pools, staff around all the time to help you with whatever you ask for, .... Difficult to list it all : it's just fantastic. Go and check it out.
(as a little tip : make breakfast a bit more then just basic, it then would perfectly fit with all the rest you offer).

Spent four heavenly days here in a Casita. We were totally spoilt, nothing was too was too much trouble. Idyllic days lazing by the pool, lunch brought to our Casita, supper under the stars. It was hard to tear ourselves away. However, a trip was organised for us to visit a sherry Bodega in San Luca where we were shown around by the owner before a special tasting in the cellars. We followed our visit with lunch by the sea. Can't wait to return to La Hacienda a world apart.

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious with sitting areas. Treat yourself to a Casita if you can, your own little h...

The minute you arrive at La Hacienda you feel utterly relaxed. The service is faultless, the rooms and the food is sensational, I have never stayed in a place like it before. The hacienda's charm can't be replicated anywhere else. Without a doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

Room Tip: The cassitas are to die for

We decided to have our honeymoon at the Hacienda and we both had the best holiday ever! It's the most relaxing place and everything from food to accommodation to staff was of the highest standard. The advice we received from Gerry and Soli (Haza staff) about eating out at Tapas bars and exploring the wonderful scenery was thoughtful and offered an alternative to heavily trodden tourist paths. I must also say that the design of the Hacienda is incredibly balanced, allowing areas to have great social banter with other guests and other areas to enjoy a more secluded, peaceful stay with just yourself and a book.

A must for everyone!

From beginning to end our visit was a pleasure. Located in a converted olive oil producing house with tasteful conversion of the oil storage areas into en-suite bedrooms. Lovely staff, first class food and wine. Comfortable and well equipped room. We enjoyed every minute.
