We spent a week at the beginning of September and considered it a great choice. Cusago is a little village near the western "tangentiale" motorway, but very quiet and surrounded by fields. Thus you can quickly enter the motorway system to explore tha many pleasant little towns around Milano. And it also takes just 10 minutes drive (not 3 min. as on the website) to the park and ride of Besceglie, the first (or last) stop of the M1 metro line. You can leave your car there for just EUR 2.10 for the day and take the metro, which has stops at the castello and the duomo.
The hotel itself is nice and pleasant, the rooms as well as the public spaces. There are tables and chairs under an overhanging roof, to spend the late afternoon in the shadow or sheltered from rain with an Aperol or some other drink. the staff is very friendly and the manager (or owner?), a very nice lady, speaks perfect English.
In the junior suite the shower is more form than function, as it is a huge bowl on top of a pedestal and it is rather tricky to enter and leave from a wet bowl-shape about half a metre high without much to hold on. Try to book another room.
Breakfast is the only (relatively) weak point. There is no breakfast-tradition in Italy and they certainly feed their guests, but the choice is rather limited. There was one sort each of cooked ham, cheese, cream cheese, hard broiled eggs, plain yoghurt, some fruit (three kinds of berries, the next day just grapes), cereals, apple and orange juice, jam, white bread, croissants and cakes and cookies. They will prepare scambled eggs on demand. Thus you will find something for every "course" but there is not much further choice.
The restaurant is very good but we had dinner most of the time at the osteria della piazza, ten minutes walk from the hotel at the village square, right across the (delapidated) castle. The staff there is also very friendly and they prepare excellent and typical regional food.
There is sufficient parking space within the enclosed compund. There is also a spa which was frequented by other guests but we did not find the time to try it. There is no pool.
