Had a wonderful 1 week stay in casoli. The house it self is amazing. Two nice sized bedrooms, a big living room with sofa beds and a good sized kitchen. The icing on the cake is the terrace on the roof. The most amazing views, my words can't do it justice so please see the pictures. It was just me and my two young kids that went. Amanda the owner was a great help. She Supplied me with directions to the house from the airport and also helped me out with ideas to keep the kids occupied. Already looking to book up again for later on in the year. It really was like a home from home.
Casoli is a hidden gem. It's full of charming streets (some requiring nerves of steel to drive and legs of steel to walk), friendly locals and lovely views. Mountain View Casoli lives up to its name. The views are nothing less than spectacular. The house is well kitted out, was scrupulously clean and very comfortable with plenty of dvds and books for the days where staying 'at home' was needed. There is a washing machine as well which I found a bonus. The owner was an amazing host and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay.
Close by are some nice cafes, a supermarket (a little bit of a walk), post office and other interesting shops. A drive out of town delivers other great sites, restaurants and towns to explore.
I highly recommend Mountain View for anyone looking for a relaxing break.
The owner told us she had recently purchased this property and has refurbished and refurnished and a fantastic job she has done. Situated up a hill in the medieval town of Casoli, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's just a traditional Italian town house: nothing wrong with that, but this one is special, it has an amazing terrace with a spectacular view of the Maiella mountains, perfectly unspoilt and unhindered. The house was spotlessly clean and easily accommodated the 4 of us and as a bonus was just a 3 minute walk from a very welcoming bar. Situated within walking distance of all local amenities and a (free) car park the house is great as a base for anyone wanting to travel around the region. The beach at Fossacesia was just 25 minutes away and the golf course at Miglianico was just 45 minutes drive. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Italian day to day life. A huge bonus is you can eat out and visit the bars without having to have a designated driver as they are all within walking distance of the house. We'll be back.
