Although the interior and furniture of the hotel is quite outworn and could need some renovation here and there, the rooms are very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially for international visitors, it might be helpful to know that frontdesk staff speaks French, but also German and English. We parked the car in the hotel's little car park for an extra €6,- per night, quite a reasonable price we think. A bus stop is located nearby the hotel and takes about 5-10 minutes to town (return ticket is about €3,- p.p.). We decided to take a walk into the city center and it took us about 20-25 minutes. Absolutely doable, especially if you don't mind walking a bit.
For one night, the hotel was quite fine, but if you decide to stay longer in Strasbourg (especially with your partner for a romantic getaway), we would recommend to choose a more modern or traditional (Alsatian) hotel.
For families and business travelers, the hotel offers enough amenities and is pretty affordable.More
