Estertel Cavan site where we have been going for the last 8 years is a first class site with first class facilities and amenities. The area and coastline around Agay is second to none and with my wife and I coming from the Gower in Wales we can appreciate this, there is plenty to see and do within a 30 mile radius from St Tropez going east to Manaco and Menton to the west.

Esterel is my back yard .... been coming to Saint Raphael over 30 years .... and going to retire there soon ... part of living here, is what the whole area gives you back ... compare to Cannes and Nice area, there's a lot more mother nature in my area... normally I use l'Esterel for walking and biking ...several times a week ... and ones and a while we go there for a "sunday lunch" ... you'll find tables in the area for that ... you'll find maps over the area in the shops ...
To have such a great nature (big park) and still be neare Cannes and others are just fantastick ... one of a kind
Welcome, anytime

We did this walk with our 1.5 year old daughter in a back carrier. This was a really nice walk with amazing views of the sea and the mountains. It seemed like all the people we saw along the route were locals which made it even more nicer for us. We did the walk at the end of December and had a perfect sunny day. We started the walk from a point along the costal route from Cannes towards south which we saw just by the amount of cars parked there. The walk we did was a return walk which took all together around 3 hours including a lunch break. There are maps along the trail which show several other options of walking including a 7 km hike and an 11.5 km one which goes all around the park.

It was a great half a day out from Cannes which allows you to enjoy the true beauty of the area as well as all the glamour in Cannes.

One of our favourite parts of Provence. Rugged, dramatic coastline backed by the Esterel mountains with many little coves and secluded beaches that are nowhere near as crowded in high season as the more well known places. From Le Dramont in the West, with L'Isle D'Or sitting juts offshore, to Theoule-Sur-Mer in the East on the edge of Cannes bay, this is a lovely area to explore.

Accessible from the N7, Theoule sur mer, Agay and other spots on the Corniche d'or, this wonderful protected area of mountain wilderness full of marked trails is superb walking, running and biking country. I am constantly amazed how few people venture into the park. Outstandingly beautiful scenery with blood ochre rocky peaks and lush Mediterranean forests. Trails are easy to follow and the GR balcon de la mediterranee runs through on smaller paths. Hot in summer, take water there are no facilities such as cafes at all, part of the attraction. You can't see any human interference in the park though there are marvellous views of the villas and marinas along the coast.
