This region of France is everything one can dream about. The beauty of the landscapes is an artists dream, the charm of the people is evident in the way they approach you and make you feel happy that you are there. We spent our time at the Moulin de la Roque, and it was the graciousness of our host & hostess which helped make our stay a beautiful week. My daughter, and three granddaughters (ages 19, 22,22), and I made memories that will last a lifetime! Merci ,and much love to Gaby & Guy!!!!

Room Tip: This is not a typical "hotel" by any means, it is a lovely compound of a deliciously rest...

We enjoyed our stay at Moulin de la Roque. The property is beautiful and it is close to everything you would want to see in Provence or the Cote de Rhone. Gaby was very gracious in sharing recommendations for places to visit. The apartment was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. We stayed in the old mill on the 3rd floor with a lovely view of the courtyard.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms..the entire estate has been beautifully restored and furnished. The apartment...

Picking the 'right' spot from which to explore Provence can be daunting- look no further, Moulin de la Roque is exceptional in all ways. It is postcard beautiful, perfectly situated, quiet, well-equipped and comes with Guy and Gaby- hosts that go out of their way to be helpful and accomplish it in spades.

We spent a wonderful week there in April with our 14, 12, 5 year olds. These are things that we loved the most:

1. Location.
Day-trips were a breeze. The Moulin has easy highway and smaller road access to put nearly everything we saw only 20-30 minutes away. Avignon, Orange (the Roman theater is worth the trip!), Vaison la Romaine (45 min), L'Isle Sur La Sorgue, Saint Remy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence, Uzes (Don't miss Le Musee du bonbon aka Haribo Tour). The countryside was stunning, the driving easy and the local Rose abundantly available for sale.

2. Kid-Friendly
The trampolines, badminton net, pool and hiking trails adjacent to the property make for a very fun family visit. Add in the expansive lawns and you've got an oasis for kids.

3. The facilities.
Guy and Gaby impart an incredible attention to detail which makes for a great place to stay. The kitchens are outfitted well, the beds are comfortable the linens soft, and the outside table and lounge chairs make for a wonderful place to relax.

4. Walkability.
Along a beautiful lane, past a swiftly flowing river, alongside a gentle canal and lines of Provencal homes you can walk right out your door and discover the charming and authentically 'real' French village of Noves. Not only is it a photogenic place, Noves has no less than 3 bakeries!

We are a pretty hardcore traveling family and almost never repeat. We all unanimously decided that we want to go back to the Moulin de la Roque and the sooner the better!

The houses at Moulin de la Roque are beautifully furnished and in such a gorgeous setting. It's in a great location to tour Provence - not far from Avignon and many beautiful villages. It's also just a short walk into Noves to pick up supplies. The houses have everything one needs and the owners are very helpful and friendly. I recommend it highly.

Thank you Guy and Gaby for such a wonderful week at your beautiful property. A modern kitchen (with a dishwasher), comfortable beds and pillows, nice living room, I could go on and on. The property was beautifully maintained and the grounds are spectacular.

The property is perfectly located in Provence, close enough to a small village for bread and supplies, not too far from the motorway making it easy to sightsee and visit other villages in the region, while still maintaining a sense of being in the middle of nowhere once you are there.

Guy and Gabby are wonderful hosts - Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made sure we were having a good time. In fact most nights they would ask how our day was and help plan the next day for us, with lots of good tips and local knowledge.

I would absolutely recommend Moulin de la Roque to anyone. A little piece of paradise - even in winter - and wonderful hosts. It was a pleasure to stay here.

Finding this old mill renovated for comfort was a delight. From our first impression of driving down the long drive through the gate, through the building(!) and onto the grounds set the stage for the beautiful time spent. The hosts, our home, the Bueles court, the fellow guests in separate buildings, the short walk to town or the hike up into the park were all what we had hoped for in Provencal living. Highly recommend it!

Moulin de la Roque is a unique place to stay in the little town of Noves, France. Gaby and Guy are excellent hosts make you feel at home! Once the flour mill, there are individual houses in the estate, all nicely decorated. The fully equipped kitchen has refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, coffeemaker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, and utensils. You cook at home with pleasure! Eating out in and around Noves is another pleasure. Gaby gives insider tips of the best places to eat in the region.
Moulin de la Roque has such a central location, that we took halfday-trips to plenty of places to visit and charming villages to explore in Avignon, e.g. Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, Gordes, Village des Bories, Châteaurenard, Les Baux-de-Provence.

Room Tip: The houses overlooking the green area have the best location.
